DIY remains determined to win the gold.
DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) targeted the tag team titles during their time on WWE RAW, but they came up short. In the 2024 WWE Draft, they were selected by WWE SmackDown. On the May 17 episode of WWE SmackDown, the duo defeated Angel and Berto.
Speaking on the SmackDown LowDown, DIY were asked to comment on how they planned to continue their momentum.
“I wouldn’t call it a roll, right. It’s been one match,” Tommaso Ciampa said.” But the difference is, on Monday Night RAW, our approach was to wait, play the long game. That’s not the approach here on SmackDown. We’re here to take what we want, and what we want, you saw it tonight. Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, those tag team titles. That’s what we want.”
Johnny Gargano: Winning The Gold Is Our Agenda
Johnny Gargano then made it clear that winning the gold was their agenda, and they would show anyone who got in their way what they were all about.
Johnny Gargano: “That’s the agenda, Cathy. The agenda is DIY, tag team gold 2024. No matter who steps in our way, look, I have a long history with both Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. That is the end game game. But any other team on SmackDown who wants to step in DIY’s way? We’re going to show them what we’re l about. What are we about? DIY’s about what?”
Tommaso Ciampa: “Tag team titles, that’s what we’re about. We’re taking the tag team titles. That’s what we’re about.”
