Roxanne Perez Thinks Cora Jade Has ‘About A Month Left’ Of Recovery From Torn ACL

NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez provides an update on Cora Jade.

Jade has been out of action since January, as she suffered a torn ACL at the NXT live event on January 12. She has been on the road to recovery ever since, and as NXT starts a new era with their CW Network premiere, there have been few updates about her potential return.

Roxanne Perez spoke on The Ringer Wrestling Show to promote NXT’s CW Network premiere. In one highlight, she was asked for an update on Cora Jade, given their real-life friendship and on-screen history. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)

“I think she has about maybe a month left,” Perez said. “She did have a really bad knee injury. Yeah, so who knows when she’s gonna pop up? Kind of have a love-hate relationship so, I feel like she might be coming for me soon or, maybe, maybe she won’t. We don’t know. Maybe she’ll come back around.”

Cora Jade and Perez previously held the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship together. They also had a heated feud after Jade turned on Perez.

Perez will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia on the October 1 episode of WWE NXT.

WrestleZone will provide more information about Cora Jade’s recovery as it becomes available.
