The Undertaker Would Have Tested The Waters In UFC If He Had An Amateur Background

The Undertaker reveals he would have tried his hand at the UFC if he had an amateur wrestling background.

The WWE Hall of Famer has always been a big fan of the UFC. He is often seen at events going back decades, watching along in the crowd. This actually led to a confrontation between The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar at UFC 121. They teased a match for the future between the two legends, which ended up being at WrestleMania 30 and the end of The Streak.

The Undertaker recently spoke with Busted Open Radio and revealed he would have given the UFC a chance if he had a background in amateur wrestling. The company ran its first event in 1993, which was still a time when The Undertaker was establishing himself in the WWE. There was a good chance that he would got his “ass smashed” if he did attempt to to fight in the UFC with his (lack of) background.

“Honestly, this is what a lot of people don’t know. UFC is coming up big at this point. They’re growing. If I had an amateur wrestling background. There is a good chance I would have tested those waters.” The Undertaker said (H/T Fightful).

“I felt like I would have been able to get my stand up on point. I have no idea, I might get my ass smashed. At this time, you have to understand the immense pressure that I’m under. I have a family. If I had an amateur background, a base, something to base my whole thing off of, I probably would have tested those waters,” added The Undertaker.
