Adam Cole‘s moment with Malakai Black on AEW Dynamite wasn’t meant to be a goodbye.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Adam Cole was a recent guest on In The Kliq. When asked if he knew about Malakai Black’s intentions of leaving the company when the two hugged after their match last year on Dynamite, Cole insists he didn’t know and said it was just a special moment between friends.
“No, I really didn’t,” Adam Cole said. “So again, I do have a history of working with Malakai. Just an unbelievable opponent, an unbelievable guy to step in there with. And we’ve shared a lot of really, really cool moments together.
“So for me, all it was was this personal moment between two guys who have a lot of love and respect for each other. I didn’t know anything about what his plans were or things like that. For me, it was just a cool moment with a friend after getting to work together after a long time.”
