WWE Raw Results: Review, Grades, Card For March 24

Our WWE Raw results for tonight include John Cena and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appearing, and Bron Breakker defending the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Penta. Plus, CM Punk will appear, and Lyra Valkyria will defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez. Additionally, Jey Uso and a mystery partner will face A-Town Down Under. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

John Cena Kicks Off WWE RAW

John Cena comes to the ring, and the fans boo. He asks them if they have something they want to say, and they continue to boo. He says that the fans finally understand what is going on, as he has turned the spotlight on the fans, and he can rip them to shreds. Cena says that no one is safe. Cena brings up how he put a little kid on blast on RAW last week, and fans loved it. The fans chanted “f*ck you Cena”.

He calls himself the one guy who tells the truth and says that the fans’ best idea is to use profanity. Cena takes a shot at the fans for making a meme out of the kid getting “destroyed.” He calls them all horrible people.

Cena says he will reveal how he will make the fans pay for the abuse they put him through. He tells the fans that he has listened to the fans’ lies. He again says that the fans are making this so easy. Cena says that he has been learning, studying, and testing the fans, as he has rewarded them for playing along. In doing so, he says the fans have told them all about him, and their lives are sad. He says that “this” is all they have, but the fans have been an experiment to him. He calls them rats in a cage.

Cena recalls some of the fans’ reactions to him over the years. He says the fans will always tell him about themselves because they want to matter. He looks back on the debut of the WWE Spinner Championship, and the fans ate him alive with negative comments. Cena says this was the biggest mistake they ever made, as they told him what he wanted, and now that he knew that, he was going to ruin wrestling. He says that he’s going to ruin wrestling.

He tells the fans that he will win the 17th world title, and he will make them forget Ric Flair’s name. Cena says he’s going to retire after he wins the title, as he’s going to take it home with him. He vows to be the last real champion in WWE. Cena says that he will get revenge by ripping the fans’ hearts out by walking away with the title.

Cody Rhodes Interrupts

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes interrupts. He tells Cena that he’ll need to take the title from him first. Rhodes says that he made a mistake last week, as he can see that Cena is clearly angry, and he might be the most dangerous Cena that he’s ever been. Rhodes tells Cena that he made a mistake by saying what he just said while he was in the building.

Cody says that he doesn’t have to unpack their history, but he worked hard to hold the title just one time. He says that, according to Cena, the timeline of wrestling hangs in the balance. He puts the title down and tells Cena to take it, as he’s clearly ready to fight. Cena walks away, leaving Rhodes in the ring. Rhodes calls after Cena, and he walks back to the ringside area before he heads back up the ramp. Cody tells Cena that his psychotic need to take the title does not outweigh their right to keep it. Rhodes says that the champ is standing in the ring, and Cena will walk away empty-handed from the WWE.

Jey Uso & TBA vs. A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller & Austin Theory)

Jey’s partner is revealed as Jimmy Uso. Jey gains the upper hand early on. The Usos double-team Waller. Jimmy tags in and maintains the advantage. Theory enters the match and blindsides Jimmy with a stiff forearm to the face. Waller and Theory isolate Jimmy and ground him. Waller continues to control the action. Jimmy tags Jey, who clears house with a flurry of offense.

A-Town Down Under briefly gains the upper hand. Jey rallies with a Spear, and The Usos hit the 1-D for the win.

Winners: The Usos

Gunther drags Jimmy off the top rope, sending him to the outside. He brawls with Jey. Jey goes for a Spear, but he trips. Gunther starts hammering away at Uso, but Jimmy makes the save with a steel chair.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are backstage. Dominik Mysterio and Carlito show up, and Dominik comments on Finn Balor’s loss last week. Morgan hypes up Rodriguez ahead of her title match.

A video package highlights El Grande Americano, the mysterious luchador who has been showing up on WWE RAW in recent weeks.

Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio tell Adam Pearce that El Grande Americano is Chad Gable. Gable shows up and says it’s not him. He hands Pearce a note from his doctor, saying that he’s sick. Gable suggests that Lee should face El Grande Americano instead.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez (with Liv Morgan)

Valkyria and Rodriguez feel each other out early on. Rodriguez overpowers Valkyria and controls the action. Valkyria rallies and sends Rodriguez into the broadcast table. Rodriguez grounds Vakyria and continues to use her strength to her advantage. She slams Valkyria for a two-count.

Valkyria dodges a dive and hits a diving leg drop to the back of Rodriguez’s head. Rodriguez takes control again. She hits a corkscrew elbow for a two-count. Valkyria counters a suplex into a DDT, but Morgan puts Rodriguez’s foot on the ropes. Valkyria kicks Morgan. The champion counters a powerbomb and rolls Rodriguez up for the win.

Morgan attacks Valkyria after the match, and Bayley makes the save.

Pat McAfee puts on a kilt and stands up on his chair as he praises Scotland.

Jimmy Uso talks to Jey Uso about his recent slip-ups and asks him what’s up with him. He says that if this keeps up, he will not win at WrestleMania. Jey says he knows. He expresses his doubt about his ability that he can beat Gunther. Jimmy says this Uso can’t, but the one who won the Royal Rumble can. Jimmy walks off and confronts Gunther. He challenges Gunther to face him next week, and Gunther accepts. Jimmy slaps Gunther in the face.

Rhea Ripley Gets Her Rematch

Adam Pearce comes to the ring and says he has a contract for the WrestleMania match between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair. He says that Rhea Ripley is not in the match. He says that Ripley’s signature from last week is not valid. Pearce also says that Ripley is owed a rematch. IYO SKY interrupts. SKY says she doesn’t care about contracts, and she says she will face both Belair and Ripley.

Belair interrupts and says that she earned her title shot, and she won’t let Ripley head-butt her way into the match. Ripley comes out and says she wants her rematch. Belair tells her she can get her rematch with her after WrestleMania. Belair and Ripley argue. Ripley shoves SKY. SKY tries to attack her. Pearce announces that Ripley will get her rematch next week, and the winner will face Belair at WWE WrestleMania 41. Belair, Ripley, and SKY brawl. Belair clotheslines Ripley to the outside. SKY hits Ripley with a hurricanrana. Belair drops SKY with a KOD over the ropes, sending her onto Ripley. Belair stands tall.

Dominik Mysterio speaks with Penta backstage and says he could be better by joining the Judgment Day. He tells him to think about it.

The New Day 9Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) confront Adam Pearce and demand a tag title shot at WWE WrestleMania 41. Pearce tells them to come back to him when they’re ready to ask for a match next week. Belair approaches Pearce and says she just wants to know who she’s facing at WWE WrestleMania 41. Pearce tells her she’ll be the special referee for the title match between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair.

Dragon Lee vs. El Grande Americano

A masked man who is definitely not Chad Gable, wearing an American Made Lucha Mask, comes to the ring, and he is announced as El Grande Americano. Americano showcases some technical wrestling. He chops Lee and knocks him to the floor. Lee sends Americano to the outside with a hurricanrana and dives onto him. Americano hits Lee with a hurricanrana. He suplexes Lee off the apron. Le rolls up Americano for a two-count. Lee drills him with a knee.

He hangs Americano up on the ropes and hits a diving stomp. Lee seemingly lands badly on his knee. Lee and Gable trade vlows. With a German suplex and a superkick, Lee keeps rolling. Americano suplexes Lee into the corner. Lee evades a moonsault. Lee powerbombs him for a two-count. Americano pulls Lee’s mask off, and Lee falls to the mat. Americano makes Lee tap out to an ankle lock.

Winner: El Grande Americano

CM Punk Speaks

Punk comes to the ring. He briefly hypes up the crowd but says he’s not in a good mood. Punk says that he hasn’t been sleeping due to the uncertainty surrounding his road to WrestleMania. Punk says he wanted to win the Royal Rumble, and he got screwed again at WWE Elimination Chamber. He says he works with children, and while this is personal for them, it’s business to him.

Punk says that Reigns and Rollins are in his way, and they have to go. He says that Reigns’ Wise Man isn’t just his Wise Man. Punk says it will be business for him Friday on WWE SmackDown, as they will have a contract signing. He says he wants to find out if the match will get him closer to getting what he really wants. Punk says that neither Rollins nor Reigns have defeated him without each other’s help. He also says that he brought them into the business, and he can’t wait to be the one who takes them out of it.

In an interview, WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker previews his match with Penta.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Penta

Penta and Breakker feel each other out. Penta uses his quickness to counter Breakker’s power. Breakker trucks over Penta with a clothesline. Penta sends Breakker into the ropes with a hurricanrana. Breakker dives off the apron and hits Penta with a clothesline, sending him over the broadcast table. Dominik Mysterio and Carlito come to ringside. Breakker and Penta trade blows. Breakker rocks Penta with a right hand. Penta answers with a superkick. Breakker goes to slam Penta, but Penta counters into a back-stabber.

Penta gets a two-count with a Destroyer. Breakker fires up with a Frankensteiner. Mysterio distracts Breakker. Breakker drops Carlito with a Spear. Dominik attacks Breakker, and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner via disqualification and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Bron Breakker

Breakker tries to fight Mysterio off. Finn Balor hits Breakker from behind with a chair. Mysterio hits Breakker with a chair. He offers the chair to Penta, and Penta takes it. Penta tosses the chaie to Dominik and kicks him. Balor attacks Penta and hits Breakker with the chair again. Balor hits Penta with the Coup de Grace. He stands tall with Mysterio and Carlito.
