Welcome or welcome back to our weekly WWE NXT hits and misses series where we recap all the good and bad from the show.

Miss – Stephanie Vaquer vs. Jaida Parker
This felt a bit too slow. Jaida has yet to be the best version of herself when it comes to in-ring work. Jordynne Grace’s run-in was obvious given the fact that Jaida inserted herself into the title picture at the Juggernaut’s expense. The post-match attack from Fatal Influence prevented Stephanie from being at her one hundred percent for the main event.
Hit – Lexis King vs. Je’Von Evans for the WWE NXT Heritage Cup
This could’ve been Lexis King’s best NXT TV match to date if it wasn’t for the timing constraints. Kudos to both men for delivering a fast-paced match. Evans took a nasty powerbomb on the apron, courtesy of the man he dropped last Tuesday, Oba Femi. But what’s with the stupid music for DarkState’s angle?
Miss – Hank and Tank vs. Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont
It seems miscommunication prevented the two teams from executing a supposed injury spot. Hank and Tank are over with the WWE NXT Universe but they have yet to win the tag team gold. Igwe and Dupont picked up the win following a distraction by Wes Lee. Seeing the Motor City Machine Guns on NXT was a nice surprise, though.
Hit – Ricky Saints sit-down interview on WWE NXT
Ricky Saints oozes confidence. This writer can’t wait to see him capture his first singles title in WWE. Shawn Spears could be the perfect first major opponent for Saints in NXT. Spears blurred the line between kayfabe and reality with the AEW reference. Let’s see if Saints can clap back with a major win next Tuesday.
Miss – What’s going on with Andre Chase?
Chase U was the greatest thing to happen to Andre Chase. It also might be the worst thing to hit Mr. Chase, who seems directionless ever since the group went their separate ways. Dixon and Connors are possibly trying to revive Chase U but that doesn’t seem to be working. As for the match, Chase fell to Ethan Page after a solid effort.
Hit – Stephanie Vaquer vs. Fallon Henley for the WWE Women’s North American Title
A solid main event match between Stephanie and Fallon. That said, Shawn Michaels really need to stop using Fatal Influence as fodder for main event talent. The group has potential but the constant L’s ain’t helping their cause at all. The confrontation between Jordynne Grace and Stephanie points to a title match at Stand & Deliver.
