This past Monday Night on Raw, the newly turned heel star, John Cena addressed the WWE Universe. During his promo, the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion promised that he will win his 17th World Title at WrestleMania 41. He also assured that people will forget the name Ric Flair. The WWE Hall of Famer recently shared his thoughts on the promo.
While speaking to former WWE Superstar Mojo Muhtadi for TMZ Sports, Ric Flair shared that he is impressed with Cena’s heel turn. Flair also promised that he would be at WrestleMania 41. The Nature Boy believes that there is a high possibility for Cena to win his 17th World Title.
“Well, I’m just glad I’m alive after the life that I’ve led to be here and hear it. So… But I got news for John [Cena]. They’ve been trying to get rid of the Woo for 50 years. The Woo ain’t going away. Neither is Ric Flair. And the odds of him winning the 17th World Title are astronomical.”
“I think [turning John Cena heel] is the coolest thing they could have done. I think it’s great. As a matter of fact, I thought, I was hoping to win the Royal Rumble. I mean, that was great finish there too you know. So, I’m excited for him. You know the saying. If they are talking about you, you are doing something right. Hell yeah [you can see Ric Flair at WrestleMania 41]. I’m going to the pool party with you [Mojo Muhtadi]. What do you mean?” Ric Flair said.
