Ric Flair Explains Why He Won’t Be In Attendance At WWE WrestleMania 41

Ric Flair won’t be at WWE WrestleMania 41 to see John Cena potentially win his 17th World Championship.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio. When asked about potentially appearing at WrestleMania 41 to hand John Cena his 17th World Championship, Flair said as much as he would love to, he won’t be at the show.

“Well, I wish that I could say I would be. But I’m not,” Ric Flair said. “And I understand why, and I’m not mad about it by any means.”

When asked why WWE wouldn’t want him there, Flair clarified it’s not about WWE not wanting him there, but more about the fact that he’s still under contract with AEW.

“Because I work for another company [AEW],” Ric Flair said. “I’m sure I would be more than welcome, and it’s competition. Which we’ve all agreed, it opens up more opportunities for the guys to work and that. But if I wasn’t working with Tony [Khan], I would absolutely be there. They couldn’t keep me out of the building.”
