Fuego Del Sol Unmasks & Seemingly Retires At GCW: Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9

Have we truly seen the last of Fuego Del Sol after being unmasked last night at GCW?

The former All Elite Wrestling star has been tearing it up on the independent scene since his contract with the company expired in 2023. But did everything come to an end last night?

Last night at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 9, Fuego Del Sol lost a mask vs. career match against Atticus Cogar. Following the match, not only did Fuego unmask, but he left his boots in the ring as well, seemingly retiring from professional wrestling.

Following the match, Fuego Del Sol took to social media to reflect upon the moment and announced that “Fuego is done,” tweeting out:

“11 Years… Ups. Downs. Everything in between. I’ve been selfish and doing this for me. Now it’s time to focus on my family and feeding them. I left everything I had left in the ring…including my boots. From the bottom of my heart… Thank you all for everything. Fuego is Done,” Fuego Del Sol said in a post.

Many fans are speculating that Fuego as a character might be done, but the performer will continue with a new gimmick, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Also It’s funny so many people are complimenting my looks because I really on had a glow up in the last year. Lastly, please go watch the full match,” Fuego Del Sol said in a post.
