Jacob Fatu has already made his mark in WWE, and took it a step further by capturing the WWE United States Championship tonight.
In a match against reigning champion LA Knight at WrestleMania 41, Fatu made sure that he wouldn’t be denied the belt this time. After a big back-and-forth battle between both superstars, Fatu managed to escape a loss after taking a BFT from Knight by grabbing the rope at the last second.
Fatu then flipped the momentum, forcing Knight to fall from the ropes as he went up for a splash by kicking the ropes out from under him. The match came to an end after Fatu hit a big Samoan drop and then paired it with back-to-back moonsaults for the win.
After the win, Fatu celebrated with the legendary Haku, who was also on hand. Solo Sikoa — who walked Fatu down to the ring — also celebrated with his cousin. For Fatu, this also marks his first title as a member of WWE.
