WrestleMania 41 notably set the stage for John Cena’s record-breaking 17th world championship win in WWE. That wasn’t the only impressive number that it produced, though.
Per a press release, WWE WrestleMania 41 also emerged as the most-successful and highest-grossing event in company history. Across its two nights, the premium live event drew 124,693 fans — the largest gate of all-time for any WWE event.
Viewership-wise, WrestleMania 41 is now the most-viewed WrestleMania ever, specifically up 114% from the record set at WrestleMania XL. The event yielded similar results online as it now is the most socially viewed WWE event of all-time as well with 1.1 billion social views generated throughout the weekend.
Regarding WWE merchandise, onsite sales (in partnership with Fanatics) spiked 45% in comparison to the record set last year at WrestleMania XL. Ecommerce sales increased even more, with an 86% rise in comparison to last year’s record. On Location, WWE’s exclusive hospitality experience partner, enjoyed a 75% increase in hospitality sales and packages.
Finally, WWE World, a five-day interactive fan experience (also in partnership with Fanatics) secured itself as the most-attended fan convention in company history. More than 50,000 people attended it — a 21% growth over last year’s event surrounding WrestleMania XL.
Night one of WrestleMania 41 was headlined by a triple threat match between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk, with the former emerging victorious thanks to help from Paul Heyman. John Cena and Cody Rhodes main evented night two with a battle over the Undisputed WWE Championship.
