AJ Francis Has A Hilarious Response After Pittsburgh Pirates Fan Falls Off Of 21-Foot High Wall

AJ Francis reacts to a fall in the Major League Baseball world in the only way he could.

On Wednesday night, All Elite Wrestling took over the city of Norfolk, Virginia for AEW Dynamite. Meanwhile in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Chicago Cubs by a score of 4-3. Before the homefield celebration commenced, though, the Pirates fanbase held their breath for a rather scary moment. At one point, a man toppled over the railing and plummeted 21 feet to the ground from the outfield stands.

Former TNA Digital Media Champion AJ Francis has since weighed in on this incident, which has now gone viral on social media.

“I shoulda been there… [sad face emoji],” Francis wrote, likely in reference to another recent dive that occurred at TNA Rebellion.

At Rebellion on April 27, Moose defended the TNA X-Division Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo, KC Navarro, Leon Slater, Matt Cardona and Sidney Akeem in an Ultimate X Match. At one point, Slater scaled a support beam, then leaped off of it and onto his opponents with a 450 splash. On first appearance, it seemed that no one caught Slater. This resulted in a rough landing for him on the floor below. Upon review, however, it’s clear that Francis tried to catch Slater. He and Moose both immediately checked on him after the impact.

Akeem has since clarified his point of view. He noted that he stayed in the line of Slater’s descent and took some damage to his knee while trying to catch him. Still, that hasn’t stopped fans from critiquing all the wrestlers involved in the spot. This includes Francis, who accompanied Navarro to the match.

Regarding the fall of the baseball fan, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports that it is being treated as an accident, with the fan still in critical condition at the hospital.
