Kenny Omega Confronts Xavier Woods At PAX East

AEW International Champion Kenny Omega recently faced WWE Superstar Xavier Woods at PAX East.

Omega and Woods competed at the gaming event in a match of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 for the UpUpDownDown Championship. The AEW star beat Woods for the title but chose not to take the title.

Despite winning the title, Kenny Omega said he only wanted to see the disappointed look on Woods’ face after losing. Both agreed to have a rematch in the future with the same title on the line. Once again, Omega showed off his strong gaming skills by defeating Woods.

Back in 2016 Kenny Omega defeated Xavier Woods in an exhibition match. And in 2018, the two stars once again faced off in the gaming world when The New Day’s Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E battled The Elite’s Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in Street Fighter V. Now that both stars have agreed to another showdown, only time will tell when their next match will take place.

Kenny Omega responds to John Cena winning WWE World Championship for the 17th time

At WWE WrestleMania 41, John Cena made history by breaking Ric Flair’s record and capturing his 17th WWE championship. With help from Travis Scott, Cena defeated Cody Rhodes to win the WWE World Championship.

Reacting to the historic moment during his Twitch stream, AEW International Champion Kenny Omega was asked for his thoughts on Cena’s victory. “I didn’t see it, I couldn’t see it. I couldn’t see it. [smiles] I’m a huge Cena fan. To me, I don’t see it as a bad thing if it’s done correctly. I don’t know these things.” [H/T: Fightful]

While Cena, who has mentioned he would ruin wrestling, seems to be on that path, this weekend at WWE Backlash, he defeated Randy Orton. Meanwhile, Kenny Omega crossed paths with his NJPW rival Kazuchika Okada, possibly teasing a future match between the two.
