MVP isn’t the only one who was rubbed the wrong way when Brock Lesnar beat Kofi Kingston in six seconds for the WWE Championship.
On the latest episode of the Markin’ Out Podcast, MVP spoke with his co-host Dwayne Swayze about wrestlers’ pushes. This conversation led to Kofi Kingston’s WWE Title reign and its disappointing end when he dropped the title to Brock Lesnar in record time. Porter admitted he thought it was stupid that they would end Kingston’s reign in that fashion.
“I don’t know. It would seem that, to me, I thought that was just stupid killing Kofi off,” MVP said. “I don’t know, I could be completely wrong, I feel there was some measure of disingenuousness with that. I can’t say exactly why, but I thought there was no need to do that to Kofi. And I thought that was ridiculous. A lot of people felt that way.” [H/T: Fightful]
MVP wasn’t employed by WWE when Kingston won the title at WrestleMania 35 and was shown in a video getting emotional beside the late Shad Gaspard as they witnessed history being made.
