Poor kid couldn’t even defend himself!
Joe Alonzo not only saved his career, but he also made sure his opponent’s kid returned home with a brand new haircut. Former NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Joe Alonzo put his career on the line in a match this past weekend. The indie sensation took on Chuck Smooth at AAW’s Crush & Destroy event at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Chicago, IL.
The match was promoted as “Alonzo’s AAW Career vs. Stevie’s Hair.” Unfortunately for the six-year-old kid, his father failed to send Alonzo packing out of the AAW. After the match, Alonzo grabbed a hair clipper and told Stevie to get in the chair.
A valiant Stevie responded by hitting Joe with a flurry of slaps to loud cheers from the crowd. However, that was just about all the offense he could muster. Joe quickly took control of the situation before proceeding to shave Stevie’s head bald.
Major indie name confronts Joe Alonzo at AAW Destroy
As Joe and his lackey tried to whip Chuck Smooth with a pair of kendos, Colt Cabana rushed to the ring to make the save. After clearing the ring, Cabana took the mic and issued a challenge to Joe for AAW’s upcoming show on August 9.
It appears that Joe Alonzo’s future with AAW is intact following his win over Chuck Smooth. Fans will have to wait to see what’s next in store for the self-proclaimed “Chosen One.”
