Recent WWE Release Confirmed For STARDOM 5 Star Grand Prix 2025

Bea Priestley makes her way back to the STARDOM promotion in Japan for the first time in four years following her WWE departure.

STARDOM recently held a press conference on their YouTube to reveal the participants for this year’s 5 Star Grand Prix. The winner of the round robin tournament would proceed to a guaranteed championship match at a later date. Previous winners have commonly used the victory to compete for the World of Stardom Championship.

At the press conference, STARDOM shocked the viewers by revealing that Bea Priestley (formerly Blair Davenport in WWE) will be making her return to the promotion by participating in the Red Stars A block. In this block, she will compete against the current World of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani.

As Bea was unable to attend the press conference in person, she sent in a video to address the STARDOM fans and her fellow competitors. “Hello! This is the ‘Top Gaijin’ Bea Priestley, and I am entering myself into this year’s STARDOM 5 Star Grand Prix. Now, win or lose, I’m very aware of how tough these tournaments can be, but I’m gonna show every one of those joshi girls that Bea will forever be number 1. See you soon, Japan,” she said.

Bea Priestley’s experience in the 5 Star Grand Prix

This will not be Bea Priestley’s first time competing in a 5 Star Grand Prix. She participated in the 2019 iteration of the tournament wherein she accumulated a total of 10 points in the Blue Stars block. She placed second in her block, tying with Jamie Hayter as both women were behind Konami by 1 point.

Priestley was released by WWE in February. She wrestled her last televised match on the November 22, 2024 episode of SmackDown. There, she lost in the first round of the inaugural Women’s United States Championship tournament.
