Pat McAfee and Adam Cole had quite the rivalry in WWE NXT, but away from the ring, the two men greatly respected one another.
Saturday afternoon at AEW All In: Texas, Cole came to the ring to address the crowd regarding his in-ring future. Cole confessed that retirement could be an option as he was forced to relinquish the TNT Championship due to a concussion.
WWE RAW commentator Pat McAfee took to social media to send a heartfelt message to Cole after being forced to step away from the ring, tweeting out:
“It’ll always be *middle finger emoji* with outside ears listening but we know what it is brother, *heart emoji*. Thanks for being an absolute dawg and making me and MANY others look good for so damn long.. GOD SPEED ON YOUR RECOVERY @AdamColePro,” Pat McAfee said in a post.
