Jim Ross Recovering From ‘A Hell Of A Fall’

Jim Ross recently had a brief scare in his hotel room.

Following successful cancer removal surgery, Jim Ross returned to the commentary desk to call two matches at AEW All In in Dallas, Texas on July 12. Shortly beforehand, however, Ross experienced another physical setback that left him quite sore.

“I’m still recovering from Dallas. I had a bad fall on Thursday night in my hotel room,” Ross revealed on Grilling JR. “Boy, I was lucky I wasn’t down for the count, but I had a hell of a fall. It’s like a soft tissue thing. I didn’t break anything I don’t think, but I had a bad fall in my hotel room. I didn’t have my phone because as I had left my phone in the Uber and I didn’t have any way of communicating with anybody. I just went to bed and it was challenging. To this very minute, I’m still sore. So, it was quite the ordeal. The only negative thing I could say is that I had a bad fall and I survived it. Today, I’m still sore as hell.”

Despite the rough landing in his hotel room, Ross insists that he will be fully okay again in the near future. “It’s just funny the older you get, the slower you heal,” he added. “That’s kind of my situation right now. Just slow to heal, but I’ll make it. I’ll be alright. It’s not the first time that’s happened to me.

At All In on Saturday night, Ross helped call the action for Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega as well as “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley. The latter resulted in Page dethroning Moxley for the AEW World Championship.
