Joe Hendry Hides In A Refrigerator, Moose Returns To WWE NXT

Say his name and he appears…from a refrigerator?

Following Tavion Heights and Myles Borne’s official departures from the No Quarter Catch Crew, Charlie Dempsey was admittedly sad on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. To potentially cheer him up, Wren Sinclair invoked the theme song and name of TNA star Joe Hendry. Like his theme song promises, Hendry then appeared, though from the inside of a refrigerator.

According to Hendry, Dempsey’s “sour puss” attitude actually stemmed from feeling left out of the satin shirt coordination between he and Sinclair. To counteract that, Hendry offered Dempsey a matching blue satin shirt and white pants, which the former NXT Heritage Cup Champion immediately tossed away.

When Dempsey then referred to Hendry as a “disease,” Sinclair stepped in to note that Dempsey could be cheered up with wrestling. That’s when Hendry offered to “cheer [him] up” with a wrestling match next week against him, which Sinclar accepted on Dempsey’s behalf.

Moose Also Appears On NXT

Elsewhere on WWE NXT, fellow TNA star Moose confronted Trick Williams, whose TNA World Championship he will challenge for at TNA Emergence on August 15. Moose also told NXT Champion Oba Femi that he hadn’t forgotten about him or their previous collision.

Shortly after, DarkState’s Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin, and Cutler James tried to attack Moose, Williams, Femi, and Je’Von Evans, only to find themselves quickly tossed out of the ring and escorted to the back by security. NXT General Manager Ava later confirmed that the eight men would meet in a four-on-four tag team match next week.
