WWE NXT Results:

Wren Sinclair vs. Kelani Jordan

Jordan attacks Sinclair before the bell rings. Sinclair manages a bit of offense before Jordan clobbers her from behind. Jordan focuses on Sinclair’s injured leg. Sinclair sends Jordan flying with a back body drop on the floor. After the break, Sinclair fires up. Jordan traps Sinclair in the Anchor. Sinclair is forced to tap out.

Winner- Kelani Jordan

After the match, Kendal Grey checks on Sinclair.

Grade: C+

Solid TV match. Jordan is really coming into her own as a heel. Also, this writer didn’t have Jordan tuning into a submission specialist on his bingo card.

WWE Men’s Speed Tournament Match | Sean Legacy vs. Dorian Van Dux

The match ends in a draw as the time limit expires.

Winner- No contest

Grade: C-

Speed match… sigh

Jaida Parker vs. Layla Diggs w/Nattie

Diggs and Parker trade submission attempts. Diggs does a split to break a full nelson (that was interesting). Nattie looks on as Diggs dances and gets clocked by Parker. Diggs tries a rocker dropper, but ends up eating a clothesline. Parker tries her hip attack, but Diggs avoids it and lands a flurry for a near fall. Parker avoids a side kick and lands a Gordbuster. Tear drop hip attack by Parker. Diggs backflips to avoid a clothesline and hits a Pelé kick. Diggs misses a beautiful moonsault. Hipnotic by Parker. Parker follows that with a Déjà vu for the win.

Winner- Jaida Parker

Grade: B-

This was fun. Diggs dances around way too much, but her work is tighter than you would think at this point. At some point, they need to pull the trigger on Parker, but this contest was a good win and a nice debut for Diggs. Good stuff all around.

The Champ

NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo says he’s going to defeat Kam Hendrix next week. D’Angelo wants to address Naraku. Naraku joins D’Angelo in the ring. D’Angelo says he knows Naraku wants his title. Naraku notes that he’s here to keep D’Angelo and his title safe. D’Angelo says that’s bull crap. Naraku responds that he will ensure D’Angelo stays champion because it’s their destiny to go to war. Kam Hendrix is out next, and he goes on and on about being up next. D’Angelo tries to walk off. Hendrix takes a swing at D’Angelo. Naraku blocks it and sends Hendrix over the top rope.

Grade: D

What the heck is this? Look, if D’Angelo is going to fight Naraku, there is no need for a long promo to explain why. Hendrix isn’t ready to be in this position. This is very clearly Hendrix being thrown to the wolves. As much as this writer wants to like him, that promo was atrocious.

WWE Men’s Speed Tournament Match | Nathan Frazer w/Axiom vs. Romeo Moreno w/Noam Dar

Moreno gets the win with one second left on the clock after countering a falcon arrow into a small package.

Winner- Romeo Moreno

Grade: C+

Speed match… sigh

The Culling (Shawn Spears and Niko Vance) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price)

Before the match can start, Shawn Spears takes out OTM with a chair.

No contest

Grade: D

Non-matches aren’t it.

Shiloh Hill vs. Charlie Dempsey w/Birthright

Hill pins Dempsey after reversing a butterfly suplex into a pin.

Winner- Shiloh Hill

Grade: C+

Dempsey deserves better than being the gatekeeper for everyone they are trying to get over. That guy is a killer who is never allowed to kill anyone. Make it make sense.

NXT Women’s Championship Match | Lola Vice (c) vs. Izzi Dame w/The Culling

Dame is in control early. Vice fires back with a sleeper that Dame uses to drive her into the corner. Vice lays in a few kicks. Dame reverses a kniee strike into a roll up for a near fall. Spears grabs Vice’s leg, which allows Dame to hit a backstabber. Vance and Spears argue at ringside. OTM runs down the ramp and attacks Spears and Vance. Dame is incredulous in the ring. After the break, Vice fires up. Dame drives Vice into the ring post repeatedly.

Dame accidentally takes the referee out with a running knee. Vice lands her spinning back fist. The referee is slow to make the count. Dame kicks at 2.9. Dame grabs the NXT Women’s Championship and tosses it at Vice. Vice catches it and Dame boots it into her face! Vice manages to kick out. Dame ends up running into a spinning back fist by Vice for the win.

Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion, Lola Vice!

Grade: B-

This was the match of the night by far. Dame has come into her own as a threat in the women’s division. Crazy nearfalls and nasty strikes throughout this one lead to a good time for sure. Vice is putting together a nice first reign with the big belt.
