“The Queen” Charlotte Flair loves her bling, even when traveling.
As a WWE Superstar, Charlotte Flair spends much of her time on the road, and sometimes, out of the country. With that in mind, Flair recently revealed her travel essentials to Complex Sports in a segment called “X-Rayed.”
According to Flair, her most widely used items are her cell phone, a bedazzled hat, and her headphones. As for what music is playing on her headphones, it admittedly ranges.
“My headphones, I usually have them on at all times through the airport,” she said. “I love techno, I don’t listen to that as much on the plane. It could be anywhere from hip hop to country, Tate McRae, can’t lie, and the new Cardi B song.”
Amongst Flair’s second-tier of items are her wrestling boots, her knee brace, and a Flair-centric crop top, all of which have been adorned with crystals and gems.
“When you work for WWE, you basically have no off season,” she said. “I always bring these boots. They’re actually super old, and when I came back from injury, I bedazzled them to make them look brand new. Just adds so much. I’m sure it doesn’t feel good when the other girl gets hit in the face with them. Recently coming back from a knee injury? Yes, It’s bedazzled. I’ve wrestled for ten years. Never been injured until this past year. And the idea of having to wear an ugly knee brace was not appealing to me. Just adds a little flair, literally, to my knee brace. I always bring my merch shirt for backup. I bedazzled that too, and it’s cut up to make it a crop. Love being loud and shiny on camera and my wrestling gear.”

Charlotte Can’t Wrestle Without Hooters Tights
On television, WWE fans see typically see Charlotte Flair donning different ring gear in every outing. As Flair reveals, though, there is one element of her look that has remained the same for several years.
“When I wrestle, I can’t wrestle without tights, but there’s only one brand that I have worn since I started, and it’s the Hooters tights,” Flair said. “So if I don’t have these, I have to find a Hooters in town and go to their vending machine. I was grandfathered in; I never wore pantyhose before I started wrestling, so the girls before me wore these and the girls before them. I don’t know what I’d do if they ever stopped making them.”
Clothing aside, Flair usually travels with a book too, with Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Doctor Joe Dispenza as her latest read. As a reminder to herself, Flair also carries some bracelets and letters given to her by fans.
“I collect the bracelets that the little girls and boys make me,” she said. “I usually keep some with me in my bag. It’s a reminder of what’s really important about this job. I think I’ve got some fan letters in here too. I love sitting on the plane and reading them. Sometimes they make me emotional.”
