TNA iMPACT Results
We get a recap of last week’s event that featured Trick Williams’ confrontation with Moose, Eric Young calling out Mike Santana over his Slammiversary loss, and the main event contest between Mustafa Ali and Joe Hendry.
Moose is down…
We see Moose down and on the ground. Moose tells The System he was jumped by Trick Williams and FIR$T CLA$$ ahead of their six-man tag team match. Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers and JDC march to the ring, telling Santino Marella the match will go as scheduled, and it will go now!
The System gets to the ring and call out Trick Williams. The TNA Champion’s music hits and he’s accompanied by FIR$T CLA$$. The System don’t wait and immediately attack Williams and FIR$T CLA$$ before the opening bell. After taking down the three men, The System finally signal the referee for the opening bell.
The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and JDC) vs. Trick Williams and FIR$T CLA$$ (AJ Francis and Rich Swann)
- The finish of the match saw Rich Swann pull off an assisted pin on Brian Myers for the win.
Winners: Trick Williams and FIR$T CLA$$
Grade: B-
TNA played smart by not pitting Moose against Trick Williams despite the match being three-on-three. With that being said, will Moose be cleared to compete in 24 hours because Emergence goes down Friday. It’s nice to see Swann back in FIR$T CLA$$. Speaking of FIR$T CLA$$, get well soon, KC!
Dani Luna and Indi Hartwell vs. Myla Grace and Harley Hudson
- The finish of the match saw Indi Hartwell plant Myla Grace with a full nelson flapjack for the win.
Winners: Indi Hartwell and Dani Luna
After the match, Rosemary blinds Hartwell with a mist as Indi is walking up the ramp. It appears Rosemary is the next feud for Hartwell.
Grade: B-
A fairly decent tag team match to build Grace and Hudson as the next potential faces of the Knockouts Tag Team Division. The pair didn’t get the win, but they did earn the respect of Indi and Luna. Rosemary’s post-match attack came out of nowhere. Let’s see what happens next.
John Skyler (w/ Tasha Steelz and Jason Hotch) vs. Matt Cardona
- The finish of the match saw Cardona hit Skyler with a Radio Silence for the win.
Winner: Matt Cardona
After the match, Jason Hotch jumps Cardona. Hotch tells Skyler to get up and continue the assault. The two men then prepare Cardona for Mustafa Ali’s “hand of destruction,” Agent Zero. The big man comes down to the ring on Ali’s call and puts Cardona away with a double chokeslam.
Grade: C+
Cardona should’ve picked the win sooner against Skyler. Still, Cardona got one of the biggest pops of the night – so far. It seems Cardona has to get through Ali’s henchmen before he can get his hands on the man himself.
Indi Hartwell backstage segment
We get a little backstage segment featuring Indi Hartwell, Jody Threat and Dani Luna. Luna tells Jodi she can take of Indi. The trainer tells both women to leave as Indi struggles to open her eyes.
Cardona wants Ali at Emergence
An irate Cardona walks to the parking lot, screaming for a match against Ali. Cardona tells Tasha Steelz he wants Ali at Emergence. He tells Steelz to bring Agent Zero, 1, 20, bring a hundred because he isn’t afraid to take on the Secret Service.
The match is official!
Emergence Summit ft. Knockouts Tag Team Division
TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella is in the ring. Marella introduces the participants of the Emergence Summit and, in doing so, absolutely butchers their names. Why? Because that’s his gimmick.
The Elegance Brand, Lady Lei and M by Elegance, The IInspiration, and Fatal Influence are all in the ring. The Elegance Brand mocks rest of the team. M says they’ll still be the Knockouts Tag Team Champion after Emergence.
Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside say they’ll kick everyone’s ass. Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley have their sights set on championship gold. The IInspiration want to become two-time Knockouts World Tag Team Champions.
The tag teams get in each other’s faces. Marella says they’ve about five seconds to beat each other. He gets out of the way and it’s absolute chaos. Marella counts to five and calls for security. We then see the babyfaces take turns jumping onto the heels and the security.
Rosemary backstage promo
Gia Miller is backstage asking Rosemary why she attacked Indi Hartwell. Rosemary says she wants to ruin Hartwell’s plans of becoming the TNA Knockouts World Champion. She ends her cryptic promo with a challenge for Hartwell.
Mance Warner and Steph De Lander promo
We get a video promo from Mance Warner and Steph De Lander after being suspended by TNA for having sex in Marella’s room last week. Mance and Steph promises more chaos as a “little suspension” isn’t enough to hold them down.
Eric Young (w/ The Northern Armory) vs. Mike Santana
- The finish of the match saw Santana plant Young with a Spin the Block for the win.
Winner: Mike Santana
After the match, EY’s goons attack Mike Santana but Sami Callihan arrives in time to make the save. Young and The Northern Armory leave the ring as Callihan raises Santana’s hand just 24 hours before they meet at TNA Emergence.
Grade: B-
A filler win for Santana ahead of TNA Emergence. Santana’s Death Valley Driver is a thing of beauty. EY continues to be a maniac heel but, this writer feels, he needs to take a backseat to The Northern Armory.
The King’s Speech
Frankie Kazarian is in the ring. Kaz mocks the TNA iMPACT crowd. He doesn’t waste much time and welcomes his first guest, Jake Something. The big man arrives. Something gets in Kaz’s face but he steps away. Our next guest is up, the TNA International Champion, Bulletproof Steve Maclin.
Something and Maclin want to fight but Kaz gets in their way. He announces the stipulation for their match at TNA Emergence, a No DQ, No Countouts match. Kaz asks Jake for something. He doesn’t respond. He the gets to Maclin, who doesn’t speak either. Kaz once again asks them to speak. Maclin grabs the mic out of Kaz’s hand and tells him to “shut the hell up.” Maclin cuts a promo on Something before Kaz grabs the mic.
Kaz mocks Something, who grabs the self-proclaimed King by his throat. Kazarian pocks Something’s eye. Maclin attempts a K.I.A. but Kaz evades. Maclin gets planted with a Black Hole Slam from Something, who picks up the TNA International Championship to cap off the segment.

Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan backstage segment
We see Sami Callihan contemplating his future ahead of TNA Emergence. Callihan says he doesn’t know if he’ll win tomorrow at Emergence, but if he loses, he’ll leave his boots inside the ring and stick to his desk job. Eddie Edwards shows up and tells Callihan to win at all cost tomorrow night because he, just like Edwards, is one of the last of a dying breed of wrestlers.
Leon Slater and The Hardys vs. Cedric Alexander and The Rascalz
- The finish of the match saw Cedric Alexander hit Leon Slater with a Lumbar Check for the win.
Winners: Cedric Alexander and The Rascalz
Grade: A-
Match of the night without a question! These six men delivered everything they had. This was the right main event to cap off the night. Alexander pinning Slater was the right move because we know he isn’t beating the champion at TNA Emergence.
Overall Grade: B-
An entertaining final episode of TNA iMPACT before we get to Emergence. Knockouts Summit and the main event tag team action were the highlights of the night. Santino butchering names will never not be funny. With the episode behind us, all eyes are set on Emergence tomorrow night.
