TNA iMPACT Results
Trick Williams kicks off the show. The TNA World Champion puts over himself by recapping his win against Moose at Emergence. Trick says he’s used to beating his opponents in their hometowns – just ask Mike Santana. He says he’s the man carrying two brands at the same time. Mike Santana’s music hits and the TNA superstar walks through the crowd to a standing ovation.
Santana pauses for a moment to tell Trick he did turn TNA upside down. He pissed off a lot of people in the locker room. Santana puts over the attendance numbers for TNA Slammiversary, noting it was the largest gate in the show’s history. Mike tells Trick he wasn’t the man that got pinned at Slammiversary. Santana doesn’t care if he gets a rematch inside a TNA or an NXT ring, and vows to beat Trick for the TNA World Champion somewhere down the line.
Trick says Santana got two opportunities against him and he didn’t “spin the block.” He denies Santana another opportunity at the TNA World Championship. Santino Marella shows up to tell Santana he “absolutely deserves a title shot.” Marella says the people of Baltimore want to see the match and is about to make it official before Trick cuts him with a contract clause: the next title defense doesn’t take place until the 50th day of his previous defense. Trick tells Santana he’s doing him a favor because he doesn’t want him to embarrass himself in front of his family. An irate Santana tries to get his hands on Williams but the TNA World Champion escapes.
Order 4 backstage segment
Gia Miller is backstage with Order 4. She asks Mustafa Ali for his comments ahead of their six-man tag team match against The System later on TNA iMPACT. Ali says he normally addresses the citizens of TNA but would like to address Gia. Ali references Tessa Blanchard’s assault on Miller from Slammiversary. He says Order 4 feels they’ve been disrespected by The System and Matt Cardona. Ali caps off the segment with Order 4’s vow and that is their trust in Ali.
Trick Williams bumps into Santino Marella backstage as he’s about to leave the building with AJ Francis. Marella tells Trick he’ll get one of his own “liars” figure out the champion’s contract clause, but that doesn’t bar Williams from competing inside a TNA ring. The TNA Director of Authority sets up Trick Williams and AJ Francis versus Mike Santana and his partner (TBA) for next week’s TNA iMPACT.
Xia Brookside vs. Killer Kelly vs. Dani Luna vs. Rosemary vs. Indi Hartwell vs. Jody Threat – Knockouts Gauntlet for a shot at the TNA Knockouts World Title
Xia Brookside advances in the gauntlet by pinning Killer Kelly. She faces Dani Luna next. Dani Luna pins Xia Brookside following a Luna Landing. She faces Rosemary next. Luna advances to the next round with another Luna Landing.
Next up is Indi Hartwell. Indi pins Luna but Luna snaps and attacks Indi. Jodi Threat is next but she questions Luna’s antics. Luna tells her she did it for Jody. Jody goes inside the ring to check on Indi. Luna brings a chair but Jody stops her. Luna hits her former tag team partner causing the referee to call for the bell. Luna hits Indi with a chair to the back before attacking security.
The TNA iMPACT commentary team notes that standard rules apply to the gauntlet, meaning Jody Threat is the number one contender to the TNA Knockouts World Championship. She and Indi walks to the backstage as the crowd boos the outcomes of the match.
Winner: Jody Threat
Grade: A-
A really good match with the outcome taking the writer by surprise. I like how TNA kept teasing a heel turn for Jody only to pull the trigger on Dani Luna’s character shift. Indi Hartwell versus Jacy Jayne seems to be the direction for TNA Bound for Glory. Jacy will most likely retain at WWE Heatwave.
The IInspiration backstage segment
The IInspiration recap their loss in the tag team title match at Emergence. They say they’d eventually get their hands on The Elegance Brand. Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx interrupt causing a confrontation to cap off the segment.
Jody Threat tells Santino Marella she doesn’t deserve a shot at the Knockouts Championship – not with how she got it. She asks Marella to maybe give the title match to Indi. Dani Luna pops up and tells Jody she did it for her. Luna tells Jody that was her match and she lost before leaving the space to Marella and Jody.

Ryan Nemeth tells TNA iMPACT fans his big brother, Nic Nemeth, returns to the iMPACT Zone in two weeks. For those unaware, Nic as suspended by Santino Marella in the lead-up to TNA Emergence, which saw Ryan compete against the Hometown Man.
Frankie Kazarian vs. Jake Something
- The finish of the match saw Kazarian hit Something with the Fade to Black for the win.
Winner: Frankie Kazarian
Grade: B+
Some good, short burst of action between Kaz and Something. Kazarian continues to perform at the highest level. Something is slowly establishing himself into a major force on TNA iMPACT. The military press transition into a bodyslam was impressive.
We see Mara Sade doing her artwork. The Hardys show up and Mara Sade tells them she was inspired by them at Emergence to do some artwork. Jeff tells Mara he has some artwork of his own he’d like to show her.
Cedric Alexander meets Leon Slater backstage. Alexander congratulates Slater for beating him fair and square at TNA Emergence. He tells Slater he got themselves a tag team match next week on TNA iMPACT. It’s going to be Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater versus The Hardys. This announcement catches Slater of guard but he promises to tear the house down.
Santino Marella is on a call with his lawyer “Steve” to discuss Trick Williams’ contract clause. Steve Maclin shows up and tells Marella he heard Mike Satana wants a partner for next week. Maclin tells Marella he’s that guy. Marella makes it official. It’s going to be Mike Santana and Steve Maclin versus Trick Williams and AJ Francis next week on TNA iMPACT.
Jacy Jayne addresses WWE Heatwave
TNA and NXT Champion Jacy Jayne is in the house. Jayne says it’s hard to be this good. She calls herself the moment. Jayne says she’s not looking for sympathy from anyone in the back. She mocks the locker room for being unable to reach the level of her success. Jacy says Santino Marella knows it better than anyone that she’s the top star. Jayne says there’s no one in the locker room that could beat her one on one.
The Concierge interrupts. Ash by Elegance takes the mic. She recaps her accomplishments in WWE and TNA. Ash calls Jacy an “attention whore” before referring to Masha Slamovich as “Slamobitch.” The former TNA Knockouts Champion appears. Masha says she’ll get her title back at WWE Heatwave because everybody’s is tired of seeing Jacy hold the TNA Knockouts World Championship for far too long. The segment caps off with all three women getting trading barbs.
Tasha Steelz, Jason Hotch and John Skyler are backstage mocking Mara Sade’s painting. Sade shows up with The Hardys. She challenges Steelz to a match one-on-one for next week. Matt Hardy calls Steez a bitch, prompting Order 4 to leave the room. We then get to see Mara Sade’s painting, the Hardy Boys logo.
Eric Young confronts Myron Reed. EY warns Reed of a change. He tells Reed he’s always been the third man in The Rascalz. He’ll get benched as soon as Trey Miguel returns from injury. Zachary Wentz shows up. Wentz asks Reed if everything’s good. Reed tells him that EY just got himself a match next week on TNA iMPACT.

JDC then performs a dive to the outside, taking out the Secret Service.
Mustafa Ali gets in the ring. JDC is about to take him out with a steel chair but Agent Zero stands between him and Ali. Agent Zero plants JDC with a headbutt before planting him with a double chokeslam on a steel chair. The segment ends with Order 4 standing tall as Moose struggles to escape members of the Secret Service outside.
Winners: Order 4
Overall Grade: A-
This was a great episode of TNA iMPACT. From Dani Luna’s shocking heel turn in the opening match-up to the all-out chaos in the main event, TNA did a fantastic job this week when it comes to building up Victory Road. The System are no longer the most dominant heel faction in TNA. That title now belongs to Order 4. Looking forward to next week’s iMPACT.
