This week’s episode of TNA Impact had a match that has the company’s fans seeing red.
Thursday’s episode of TNA Impact was headlined by the Wicked Garden Match between The Hardys and The Righteous. The show also featured Santino Marella and Indi Hartwell vs. Stacks and Arianna Grace, and Lei Ying Lee vs. Mr. Elegance.
The match between Lee, the current TNA Knockouts Champion, and Mr. Elegance got a fairly negative response from fans, mostly because Lee lost the match. Fans voiced their frustrations with the result, sharing that it made Lee look bad and felt disrespectful to the women’s division.
“She’s TNA champ and y’all booked her to lose to a f***in comedy act?! What the f**k lmao,” one fan said.
“Using women to get this guy over as a heel bothers me. They didn’t need Lee losing to him in a match to do it. Next they’ll have him win the Knockouts title,” another wrote. “Please book better.”
“Who booked this absolute garbage,” added another. “This isn’t 2001, why are we having these matches. Look how dumbfounded the crowd looks. Not only does it hurt the KO division, it makes Mr Elegence get heat, and not the good heat. The get off the tv heat. F**k man, I had high hopes for for TNA.”
TNA later confirmed that Xia Brookside, who has been involved in a feud with Lee, will challenge for the title at Slammiversary this month.
