Major Return Confirmed for AEW Dynamite: Beach Break

AEW Breaks Tradition With 2025 Thanksgiving TV Tapings

AEW won’t be “home for the holidays” as the promotion will be on the road for Thanksgiving this year.

On Tuesday, All Elite Wrestling announced its 2025 Thanksgiving week television taping schedule. AEW Dynamite will be live on Wednesday, November 26, which is Thanksgiving Eve this year. In addition, the night will also feature a Thanksgiving edition of Collision. It was not explicitly stated in the announcement, but it’s likely that the episode of Collision will air on Thanksgiving night on Thursday, November 27, instead of its traditional Saturday night timeslot.

The announcement is notable for another reason, however. This year’s Thanksgiving festivities will take place at a new venue called The Pinnacle in Nashville. The venue boasts a capacity of 4,500 people and is located minutes away from Broadway in downtown Nashville.

Thanksgiving 2025 marks the end of an AEW ‘tradition’

Prior to this year, five of the first six Thanksgiving Eve episodes of Dynamite were taped in Chicago. The last four shows took place at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The main exception was in 2020, when Dynamite was recorded at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tony Khan has been open in the past about wanting to establish more wrestling traditions, including hosting Thanksgiving in Chicago, his hometown. During a media interview for All Out 2019, Khan first mentioned wanting to give the local community an event to look forward to each year while they were all home for Thanksgiving break.

Last year, Thanksgiving Eve also marked the beginning of the 2024 Continental Classic tournament. AEW has not announced any plans for this year’s tapings, but Brody King and Bandido, Toni Storm, Kris Statlander and Hangman Page are featured in the advertisement.
