KJ Orso (fka Fuego Dol Sol) reveals a sentimental reason for his unmasking.
For years, wrestling fans knew him as Fuego Dol Sol, a masked, high-flying star. This past April, though, he shed the mask and blossomed into KJ Orso. According to Orso, one of the motivating factors behind this change was his desire to better showcase his heritage.
“One of the reasons I wanted to unmask is to proudly represent my Native American heritage more. This man always brought a smile to my face when I saw him on my screen. RIP to a true Pioneer!” Orso wrote on X, referencing the recent death of Graham Greene, who wooed fans with his work in theater, television, and film.

In April, Orso (as Fuego Del Sol) competed in a mask vs. career match against Atticus Cogar at Joey Janela’s Spring 9. Orso lost, resulting in his immediate unmasking and a tease of retirement as he subsequently left his wrestling boots behind in the ring.
The former AEW star later returned to action maskless under the name KJ Orso, with a number of appearance at Game Changer Wrestling coming in the months following. Elsewhere, Orso has wrestled in REVOLVER, New Texas Pro, Texoma, and Empire Pro Wrestling,
