WWE SmackDown Viewership & Demo Revealed For 9/12 Episode

WWE SmackDown saw a decrease in viewership on September 12.

According to Wrestlenomics, SmackDown averaged 1.316 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.37 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when an average of 1.147 million viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week’s show (0.28 rating in the same demographic).

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with an in-ring promo from Brock Lesnar. He was interrupted by R-Truth, calling himself Ron Cena, looking to avenge his childhood hero, John Cena. Lesnar lays him out with an F-5 and splits his pants in the process.

The WWE Women’s Championship match between Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill ended in a double countout. Nia Jax came out after the match and attacked both women.

Elsewhere on the show, Sami Zayn defeated Rey Fenix in the US Title Open Challenge.

In the main event of the evening, Drew McIntyre defeated Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes returned after the match to set up his match with McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza.
