Jazwares is rumored to be losing the license to produce AEW action figures. But is it true?
Rumors about the future of the AEW action figure partnership with Jazwares have spread over the past week. According to a recent post on Reddit, Jazwares is losing the AEW action figure license. Jazwares has produced AEW action figures since the line launched with the AEW Unrivaled Collection in 2020.
Jazwares and AEW had not commented on the partnership. But now, a key person involved has spoken out about the story. Matt Cardona provided some more insight on the matter in the form of a new statement he read on the Major Figure Wrestling Podcast. (See, a Major update.)
Jeremy Padawer, Jazwares’ Chief Brand Officer, spoke with Cardona, who read a statement on the show on Tuesday.
“I think it’s fair to say you’ve talked to me. And from everything you understand and I’ve said, we are making AEW product in 2026,” Cardona said on behalf of Padawer.
Despite receiving a statement from Padawer, Cardona and Major Wrestling Figure podcast co-host Brian Myers pointed out that the statement is still somewhat vague.
“Even that was open-ended. You could speculate a million things here,” Myers said, after Cardona mentioned that they don’t know if Jazwares will still have the license after 2026. “Time will tell,” Myers added.
Despite not knowing if AEW and Jazwares will work together after 2026, Cardona said it’s still a good sign that, as far as they know, there will be product in 2026.
