AEW Collision Results:

We get quick promos from the Death Riders, Daddy Magic, Jamie Hayter, Julia Hart, and Komander hyping their matches that will take place later tonight. Kyle Fletcher jumped Komander and Hologram, attacking them backstage as another tease for Clon took place.

The Death Riders (w/ Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta) vs. Paragon and Daddy Magic

  • The finish of the match saw Daniel Garcia hit Daddy Magic with the surfboard curbstomp to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: The Death Riders

Grade: B

For the participants involved, this match went way too long for my liking. The match was fine, but it did go on far too long. However, the ongoing story between Garcia and Daddy Magic is really what saved the match for me because it helped advance that story within the very long matchup.

The return of Kenny Omega

We hear from Brody King backstage, who challenges Josh Alexander and the Young Bucks to a trios match at the 6th Anniversary of AEW Dynamite. King reveals that Kenny Omega will be returning this Wednesday to team with Brodido for that matchup.

Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir (w/ the Death Riders) vs. Rachael Ellering and Rosario Grillo

  • The finish saw Marina Shafir lock Rachael Ellering in Mother’s Milk to pick up the submission victory for her team.

Winners: Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta

After the match, Wheeler Yuta gets on the microphone and whines about Kris Statlander turning on him earlier this week on Dynamite. Yuta then takes a few shots at Darby Allin, hyping their mixed tag match this Wednesday.

Grade: N/A

Just a quick squash showcase match, nothing worth grading.

Hangman Page stands with The Opps

AEW World Champion Hangman Page is backstage with The Opps. Page says he owes The Opps for chasing off the Death Riders at All In. Page says with Shibata out, he’s happy to step in and fight against the Death Riders, saying they haven’t learned.

Samoa Joe says the Death Riders haven’t learned, and they are going to run them down and beat their asses. Joe says the lessons the Death Riders haven’t learned will be learned, and they will be lessons they will learn for life.

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster vs. The Swirl

  • The finish of the match saw Anthony Bowens hit Lee Johnson with a discus lariat from the outside that allowed Max Caster to roll Johnson up for the win.

Winners: Max Caster and Anthony Bowens

Grade: B+

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s time for The Acclaimed to get back together. The story told in this match was awesome. While I thought this team needed to break up when they did, it’s clear that these two as singles acts aren’t working. There’s a magic there for these two as a tag team, and I’m all for this slow build of putting them back together. Between this and Jurassic Express reuniting, I feel like AEW is really focusing on building the men’s tag team division again.

Nick Wayne isn’t done with Christian Cage

We see Nick Wayne, Mother Wayne, and Kip Sabian backstage. Wayne is still in the wheelchair. Kip Sabian complains that he didn’t trust that dinosaur, but no one wanted to listen to him. Nick Wayne says that’s fine because he’s gone now. Wayne says he’s back in AEW and his sights are set on Christian Cage.

Will TayJay be the first AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions?

Lexy Nair is backstage with Anna Jay and Tay Melo. They talk about how important the introduction of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles and calling themselves the original women’s tag team in AEW. TayMelo make it clear they will do whatever it takes to be the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The Outrunners and Dalton Castle vs. KM, Corey Sparks, and Cowpoke Paul

  • The finish of the match saw Dalton Castle hit the Bangarang on KM to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Dalton Castle and The Outrunners

Grade: N/A

Another quick showcase squash match. Nothing of note to grade here, but I do think Dalton Castle and the Outrunners are a match made in heaven.

TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes)

  • The finish of the match saw Kyle Fletcher hit Komander with the sheerdrop brainbuster to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: And still TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher

Grade: A

Easily the best thing on the show tonight so far from an in-ring standpoint. It’s really nice to see Komander back after so much time away from injury, and he didn’t look like he had a ton of ring rust either. I really enjoyed that!

Kyle Fletcher will have his hands full on Dynamite

We hear from Kyle Fletcher backstage, who puts over his win against Komander and the fact that he injured Hologram and took him out before Dynamite. Fletcher says he still wants a challenge worthy of him at Dynamite on Wednesday to defend his TNT Title against. It’s announced that he will face Orange Cassidy for the TNT Title on Wednesday.

Tornado Tag: Eddie Kingston and HOOK vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith

  • The finish of the match saw Eddie Kingston hit Bryan Keith with the spinning backfist and HOOK locks him in Redrum to score the submission victory for his team.

Winners: Eddie Kingston and HOOK

Grade: B+

This was a lot of fun. It looks like Kingston has already shaken off a lot of the ring rust he had at All Out. With plenty of tag matches already on this show, it was smart to change it into a tornado tag. There’s a lot of potential with this HOOK/Kingstom tag team. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The Bang Bang Gang gets a new member

Lexy Nair is backstage with Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn. They talk about coming up short last week and agree that there is strength in numbers. Robinson says he talked to Jay White, and he agreed they needed to add a new member to the group. Enter former Bullet Club member Ace Austin, who was recruited into the Bullet Club by White. A perfect fit!

Julia Hart (w/ Skye Blue) vs. Jamie Hayter

  • The finish of the match saw Jamie Hayter hit Julia Hart with Hayterade to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Jamie Hayter

Grade: A-

After the match, Hart and Blue attack Hayter. Queen Aminata hits the ring to make the save. Hayter says she’s sick of this, and the only way to settle things is Blood and Guts. The Triange of Madness seemingly accepts as AEW Collision goes off the air.

AEW Collision Review:

Tonight’s episode of Collision had a solid, steady build throughout the evening. It started in one gear and continued to up things throughout the evening, all the way to the main event. This was a very fun and enjoyable show. The card for the 6th anniversary of Dynamite this Wednesday is pretty stacked, and I’m looking forward to that show.

Grade: B+
