Our WWE NXT No Mercy results for tonight include Je’Von Evans seeking vengeance against Josh Briggs, Blake Monroe and Jordynne Grace’s blood feud goes to the next level in a weaponized steel cage match, Tavion Heights challenges Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship, Lainey Reid clashing with Sol Ruca for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship, Lola Vice facing Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship, and Oba Femi defending the NXT Championship against Ricky Saints. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the FTL War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

WWE NXT No Mercy Results:
Je’Von Evans vs. Josh Briggs
As soon as the bell rings, Evans lights Briggs up with strikes. Briggs drives Evans over the top. Briggs tosses Evans into the ring apron. Evans side steps a charging Briggs, sending him into the ring steps. Bouncy rana by Evans. Briggs tosses Evans into the corner and lays in a few punches. Briggs works over Evans’ lower back. Evans tries to fire up, but Briggs knocks Evans off the apron. Evans crashes into the barricade. Briggs sends Evans into the ropes. Evans bounces off the ropes and German suplex. Bouncy kick by Evans. Evans bounces off the ropes and hits another bouncy kick. Evans dives off the ring post and lands on Briggs.
Springboard splash by Evans. Briggs kicks out. Superman punch by Evans. Big Boot by Briggs. Evans is knocked loopy. Briggs sets up a top rope chokeslam. Evans does a backflip mid-chokeslam and lands on his feet. Evans tries a springboard. Briggs catches Evans and hits a MASSIVE chokeslam.Briggs lands a lariat. Evans’ foot ends up on the ropes. Briggs starts to go up top for his moonsault. Evans grabs Briggs’ foot and lands a few strikes. Evans tries another springboard. Briggs meets him with a boot. Evans counters Briggs’ chokeslams with a cutter. Super OG Cutter by Evans. Evans pins Briggs.
Winner- Je’Von Evans
Grade: B-
Briggs and Evans have good chemistry, so it’s hard for them not to have a good match. This one was a bit heavy on the springboards, but still a fun contest. Evans is everywhere this week. SmackDown, NXT, and TNA. His star is rising, but this writer isn’t sure what’s next for Briggs.
WWE Women’s Speed Championship Match: Sol Ruca (c) w/Zaria vs. Jaida Parker
Ruca and Parker trade pin attempts. Neither woman can get the advantage. Ruca stuns Parker in the ropes before smacking her on the butt. The fight spills out of the ring. Ruca dives off the steps and lands a senton. Parker counters a baseball slide and elbows Ruca in the face. Backstabber by Ruca. Ruca tries the Sol Snatcher, but Parker blocks it and crushes Ruca with a teardrop hip attack in the corner. Ruca springboards into an elbow strike.
Parker and Ruca trade strikes. Samoan drop by Parker. Parker and Ruca fight out os the ring. Ruca misses a moonsault. Parker hits Hypnotic out on the floor. Parker and Zaria get into out it on the floor. Lash Legend appears and argues with Parker. Zaria tries to spear Parker, but Parker moves. Zaria cuts Legend in half with a spear. Parker rolls back in the ring and immediately eats a Sol Snatcher from Ruca for the win.
Winner and STILL WWE Women’s Speed Champion, Sol Ruca!
Grade: B-
This writer isn’t a fan of the Speed format, but this longer five-minute match with two of NXT’s top women’s superstars was a lot of fun to watch. This format is tailor-made for Ruca, and Parker’s power-based offense weirdly jived here.
Weaponized Steel Cage Match: Blake Monroe vs. Jordynne Grace
Grace’s hand is taped up due to a broken bone. Both women are dressed for a street fight, with Grace wearing all white. Both women tear into each other. Grace misses a chair shot. Monroe beats Grace with a kendo stick. Grace takes the stick away and beats Monroe with it. Grace drops Monroe with a spinebuster on a chair. Monroe kicks out. Grace sits in a chair on Monroe’s back and traps Monroe in a Boston Crab. After a series of reversals, Grace goes headfirst into a chair set up in the corner. Monroe crushes Grace’s injured hand in the cage. After a trash can shot, Monroe gets a near fall. Monroe and Grace have a tug-of-war with a kendo stick.

Monroe spins Grace into the stroke using the kendo stick. Grace kicks at two. Monroe uses a hair dryer cord to tie Grace to the ropes. Monroe pulls out a pair of scissors and cuts some Grace’s hair. Grace breaks free, realizes what happened, screams “B*tch!” and tackles Monroe. Grace unloads on Monroe. Monroe climbs the cage, Grace cuts Monroe off, and hits a Samoan drop off the cage. Grace ships Monroe with a belt. Monroe dumps out a bag filled with diamonds. Grace manages to suplex Monroe on the diamonds. Monroe traps Grace in a tree of woe with a trash can around her head. Double stomp by Monroe. Grace kicks out.
The Finish
Monroe tries to blind Grace with the leg of a table. Grace tosses Monroe into the cage. Monroe tries to climb the cage. Grace follows. As both women fight on top of the cage, Monroe throws powder in Grace’s eyes. Monroe sets up a powerbomb on the top rope. Grace reverses it into an air raid crash off the top through a table. Grace lands on Monroe. The referee counts to three.
Winner- Jordynne Grace
Grade: B
Fun garbage match. Monroe and Grace are in a blood feud, so this type of match makes sense. This writer got excited when he saw Grace wearing white. Back in my day, that usually meant someone was going to end up covered in blood. Yes, that’s morbid, but goddamit, this is wrestling. Blood feuds in STEEL CAGES should end in blood. Man, woman, fruit, or vegetable. Steel cuts skin.
NXT North American Championship Match: Ethan Page (c) vs. Tavion Heights
After a bunch of reversals, Heights lands a dropkick that sends Page over the top onto the ramp connected to the ring. Page backdrops Heights on the metal ramp. Page works over Heights’ injured back. Heights fires up and lands a flurry. Heights locks Page in the ankle lock. Page gets to the ropes.
Page manages to hit the Ego’s Edge. Heights kicks out, but Page immediately transitions into a Canadian Crab. Heights gets to the ropes. Page and Heights fight up top. Heights locks Page in a sleeper. Page pulls Heights into an avalanche powerslam. Page transitions into the Twisted Grin for the win.
Winner and STILL NXT North American Champion, Ethan Page!
Grade: C+
Solid match with a cool finish, but even with all that has happened leading up to this, this match still felt cold. More time and energy is needed to get Heights over. Heights has a ton of talent, but the All-American gimmick is dead on arrival. In this day and age, that’s a heel gimmick. Heights’ booking makes no sense.
NXT Women’s Championship Match: Jacy Jayne (c) w/Fallon Henley vs. Lola Vice
Jayne and Vice trade submission attempts. Senton by Jayne. Jayne runs into an armbar by Vice. Jayne gets to the ropes. Vice trips Jayne. Ax kick by Vice. Vice lands a nasty kick to Jayne’s gut. Suplex by Jayne. Vice works over Jayne’s midsection before booting Jayne through the ropes with a kick. Henley tries to get involved. In the confusion, Jayne pushes Vice into the ring steps. Jayne crushes Vice against the ring steps with a senton. Vice gets hung up on the ropes. Backstabber by Jayne. Jayne focuses her assault on Vice’s back.

Vice fires up and lands a hip attack, followed by a backdrop driver. After a distraction from Henley, Jayne boots Vice in the face. Back in the ring, Jayne runs into a kick from Vice. Henley pulls the referee out of the ring. The referee ejects Henley from ringside. Sleeper by Vice. Jayne turns it into a pint. Vice kicks out. Backfist by Jayne. Jayne falls on Vice. Vice kicks out. Rolling guillotine by Vice. Jayne manages to escape.
The Finish
Vice goes up top. Jayne cuts Vice off. Back suplex off the top by Jayne. Running knee by Jayne. Vice kicks out. Jayne is shocked. Jayne brings the championship into the ring. Vice avoids a belt shot. Jayne and Vice trade strikes. Jayne lands the Rolling Encore. Vice bounces off the ropes and lands a spinning backfist. Vice falls out of the ring. Someone dressed in all back attacks Vice from behind. Vice almost gets counted out. Vice eats a Rolling Encore. Jayne pins Vice.
Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion, Jacy Jayne!
Grade: C+
Eh… This writer is getting tired. At some point, Vice has to win something, right? Sol Ruca is currently holding the NXT Women’s North American Championship hostage. When was the last time that was defended? Put it on Vice so she has something to do, besides losing matches.
NXT Championship Match Oba Femi (c) vs. Ricky Saints
Saints and Femi trade shots. Femi beats Saints into the corner. Saints fires back and gets choked. Saints rolls up Femi. Femi kicks at two and lands a European uppercut. Femi works over Saints. Saints lands a shot that sends Femi to the mat. Saints sends Femi out of the ring. Femi cuts off a dive from Saints with a nasty right hand. Femi destroys Saints with three uranage backbreakers. Saints kicks out. An elbow strike from Femi sends Saints through the ropes to the ramp. Saints is almost counted out. Femi continues his assault on Saint’s ribs and back. Saints fires up and manages a Samoan drop. Femi tries the Fall from Grace. Saints avoids it. Femi blocks Saint’s spear. Popup cutter by Femi. Saints kicks out.
Saints hits a spear. Femi kicks out. Saints hits a sunset flip powerbomb. Femi kicks out! Saints and Femi trade strikes. Femi destroys Saints with a lariat. Saints hits the ropes and gets tossed into a release powerbomb. Saints kicks out. After a pin exchange, dropkick by Femi. Saints rolls out. Femi clears the commentary desk. Femi sets up a powerbomb on the desk. Saints reverses the powerbomb into a DDT. Tornado DDT by Saints out on the floor. Femi slaps Saint’s soul out of his body on the apron. Fall from Grace by Femi. Saints somehow kicks out. Saints surprises Femi with DDT. Tornado DDT by Saints for the win!

Hell of a match. Everyone talks about Bron Breakker main eventing WrestleMania, but as great as Breakker is, Femi is a million times better. Since debuting on NXT, Femi hasn’t had a bad match and is essentially the king of the triple threat match. This seemed like a send-off, so this writer can’t help but give Femi his NXT flowers. Saints is the right guy to lead NXT into whatever this new era will become. Saints have it all, and Femi should be ending John Cena’s career or pinning Brock Lesnar (speaking all of this into existence), so if this kick-starts that, good. Let’s GO.
