Adam Copeland has stepped away from AEW programming to film the third season of Percy Jackson and The Olympians on Disney+, but now he’s landed another big role in Hollywood.
According to Angelique Jackson of Variety, Adam Copeland and Pom Klementieff (Mantis from the Marvel Cinematic Universe) have been added to the cast of The Beekeeper 2, which will once again star Jason Statham.
Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave will all return to reprise their roles from the original movie, which saw Statham play “a former government assassin who comes out of retirement in a quest for vengeance.”
The first movie was a box office success, grossing $162 million worldwide. The sequel will be distributed worldwide by Amazon MGM Studios. While Miramax will produce and finance.
As for who Adam Copeland will be playing in the sequel, those details are being kept under wraps for now. However, the film is now in production, which could keep Copeland away from AEW longer than fans had anticipated.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
