One of the common complaints surrounding the professional wrestling community is tribalism, which often results in heated arguments between fans online. Another centers on fans smelling foul in person at various events. Unfortunately, the former is still an ongoing problem. The latter, however, now has the potential to be resolved.
To combat this funk (not to be confused with Terry or Dory), Reddit user DavesJustBored created an artisan soap company called Kayfabe. Kayfabe, of course, is also the long-standing wrestling tradition of treating scripted events and elements as if they are legitimate.
Per the official Kayfabe FAQ, soaps are hand-crafted to help clean and refresh wrestling fans, whether they’re heading to the gym, work, or a wrestling show. The soaps themselves are said to be safe for sensitive skin, with no harsh detergents and a lifespan of three to four weeks with daily use.
Currently, Kayfabe offers five different soaps, all of which are inspired by pro wrestling terms. The lineup is as follows: Cage Match (Sea Salt & Oatmeal), Fall Brawl (Pumpkin Spice), Heel Turn (Sandalwood & Patchouli), Kayfabe (Oakmoss & Aloe), and Asian Mist (Japanese Lily).
Soap products are listed at $9.99 each, though buyers can get a discount with tag team, trios, and stable bundles. Shipping is currently limited to the United States, with international shipping options in the works.
On Reddit, the Kayfabe owner noted that their brand is “part joke and part legit good soap,” as fans can laugh at it while actually being able to use its self-care products. They also revealed that beard oil, deodorant, and shampoo will soon be available, too.
