WWE Hall Of Famer Says Triple H And Shawn Michaels Have Pitched Him Returning As A Commentator

Triple H and Shawn Michaels are working as the main pillars of WWE, and a Hall of Famer recently confirmed that they pitched the idea of him returning as a commentator.

The WWE Hall of Famer in question is Kevin Nash. In a recent conversation with The Wrestling Classic, the nWo member revealed that he didn’t expect Triple H and Shawn Michaels to be in their current position.

He further disclosed that Triple H and Shawn Michaels also pitched him the idea to return as a commentator. However, Nash doesn’t want a job to do.

“No. I knew Triple H,” Kevin Nash began. “I mean, when I had heard that Triple H was, like, going to production meetings when, like, the NWO was hot. Like, you know, he was in the doghouse. Yeah, he was in the doghouse, actually, at Curtain Call. So, he was a student of it, and Shawn always loved the business.

“All it took was, you know, Triple H to get… kind of in the mix. And then he asked Shawn to help. Of course, Shawn did. I was done working by then. That’s the one thing they say. Come back and announce and come back and do this and it’s just like, you got to fly in Sunday to work Monday to leave Tuesday. That’s three days. I mean, you got a job. I don’t want a job.” [H/T: Fightful]

Kevin Nash believes that this WWE star would have fit as the original nWo member

In the same conversation, Kevin Nash suggested that WWE star Rhea Ripley would be a better fit as a member of the nWo. He also compared the Mami with AEW star Mercedes Moné. The veteran believes that Rhea might even be a better fit than Moné as an nWo member.

“I remember, like, when she was, you know, when her (Mercedes Mone) and Bayley had that match in Brooklyn,” Kevin Nash recalled. “I said that then that she was, you know…(a possible nWo member). But now I might have to go Rhea. I might have to go Rhea. Rhea might be a better fit with the nWo than Sasha.” [H/T: Fightful]
