WWE NXT star Je’Von Evans is getting major support from veterans like CM Punk and The Hardy Boyz.
The 21-year-old rising star has been impressing fans with his performances every week. Recently, Evans competed on the main roster against Sami Zayn for the United States Championship. Last week, he teamed up with Dragon Lee to defeat Los Garza in a strong tag team match on WWE SmackDown.
Although Je’Von Evans hasn’t been officially called up to the main roster yet, he constantly learns from well-known veterans. On the No Contest Wrestling podcast, he explained CM Punk and The Hardy Boyz often gives him feedback on NXT matches.
He said, “Whenever I see Punk I talk to him. He watches NXT so I’m able to send my matches to him to get advice. Same thing with The Hardys. It’s easier for us because we’re both Carolina boys. So that kind of already builds a relationship right there.”
He added he feels grateful to learn from legends like CM Punk, The Hardys, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Triple H. “I’m blessed to be in position that I’m in right now. To be able to reach out to CM Punk, The Hardys, Randy, Cody, Seth, Paul.”
“These are guys that are legends and I’m able to pick off their brain at the age of 21. At this age imagine if I keep listening to all these legends that’s giving me all this advice and picking their brain, imagine how dangerous I’ll be the older I get.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
