An MLW star has no problems accepting a recent review of the company’s Symphony of Horrors event.
Current MLW and former WWE star Donovan Dijak reacted to an online review of MLW’s latest event, Symphony of Horrors, which aired on the company’s YouTube account last Saturday. The card featured seven matches.
The reviewer initially described the show as a car crash and was straightforward in discussing the matches. The event saw Mistico defeat Austin Aries in the semi-final of the 2025 Opera Cup, and while the reviewers gave a positive opinion about this contest, they stated that they were tired of Aries’ pre-match promos.
They praised the opening match, the five-way scramble, and the lightning match between Shotzi Blackheart and Brittnie Brooks, but were critical of the match timings. Despite acknowledging the show’s flaws, they claimed to have enjoyed the show’s unpredictability.
Donovan Dijak shared his take on the review on his X/Twitter, saying that while it did look like clickbait, he likes the bluntness. He also claimed that MLW is striving to be different.
“I used to get all butthurt about videos like this, but frankly I kinda dig the bluntness of these reviews. Is it clickbait? Absolutely, but it’s 2025 and that’s why anybody watches anything lol. The review itself says @MLW is a car crash and that’s why he likes it. Respect. That’s what we strive for – to be different. Check out this review and check out MLW on YouTube!”
An MLW Star Recently Took Shots At Brock Lesnar
During the MLW Symphony of Horrors event, former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle had a backstage segment with promoter Cesar Duran. He confronted Duran about not giving him a championship opportunity, and in the process, he took a shot at Brock Lesnar, stating that Duran’s matchmaking skills are worse than The Beast Incarnate.
“Yo, Cesar, what’s up with everything, bro? How come I’m not getting a title shot? I mean, I’ve already beat like half the roster, and I’m still playing your games? Dude, your matchmaking is worse than Brock Lesnar, bro!”
Matt Riddle has made such comments about Brock Lesnar on multiple occasions over the years, and even recently blamed The Beast Incarnate for cutting a match short after forgetting his spot.
