WWE Legend Wants To Coach In NXT ‘So Bad’

Pro wrestling legend Leilani Kai has expressed her interest in taking up a coaching role within WWE NXT.

Leilani Kai made her pro wrestling debut in the mid-1970s before gaining recognition for her pairing with her mentor, The Fabulous Moolah, in the eighties. She is a former WWE Women’s Champion and a two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion.

During a recent interview with Bill Apter, Kai revealed that she is interested in joining WWE NXT as a coach. She also praised newly crowned NXT Women’s North American Champion Blake Monroe.

“I’m so interested in NXT,” she said. “I want to be a coach there so bad. I try to go to all the events I can go to just to be able to watch them. That’s really the only thing I care about — NXT, really. I gave her (Blake) some little pearls.

“It’s just my little Glamour Girl thing I had. I had a few pieces of jewelry I wanted her to have, and I’m just so proud of her. I watch everything she does.” [H/T: WrestlePurists]

Blake Monroe reacted to Leilani Kai’s praise. Taking to social media, The Glamour thanked the pro wrestling legend for her words of encouragement.

“glamour is forever *heart face emoji* *red heart emoji* thank you!!!!”

Blake Monroe defeated Zaria to become the Women’s North American Champion at Halloween Havoc. Fans can check out WrestleZone’s full coverage of the show here.
