Chelsea Green thinks this WWE NXT Superstar is the male version of her.
WWE Superstar Chelsea Green continues to praise Ethan Page. The duo formed an alliance after Chelsea returned to NXT on the August 5 broadcast. They have since participated in tag team action and are set to challenge for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship on Sunday.
During a recent appearance on the Gabby AF podcast, Chelsea Green lauded Ethan Page’s character work and promo skills, saying that watching him talk during NXT rehearsals felt like seeing a male version of herself.
“He walks out and he starts talking and I’m like, ‘Holy shit. Is he — he’s me,’” Green said. “I was just so caught off guard. I get in the ring and I’m talking and out of my peripherals, I can feel his facial expressions, I can feel his energy. He leans over like this and I’m like, ‘He’s perfect.’
“He’s exactly what we’ve been missing that we didn’t even know we’ve been missing. After that promo, I think we both immediately knew that this was something. We just continued to build and learn that we have the same goals in mind and the same work ethic and drive.” [H/T: Fightful]
