Mike Santana wants a dream match against this WWE Superstar.
TNA World Champion Mike Santana was a recent guest on No-Contest Wrestling. When asked if he wanted to be a part of AJ Styles‘ retirement tour in 2026, Santana said that a match against The Phenomenal One is the only thing that’s left for him.
“I’ve been very blessed in my career to have worked with so many different people,” Mike Santana began. “Especially people that I grew up watching, guys that I played with their action figures, guys I’ve idolized. Like, I’ve been very, very blessed. But there’s only one dream match that I’m chasing, there’s one left for me, and that is AJ Styles. There’s no one like him, and I think when he’s gone, there ain’t gonna be no one like him.
“The fact that he hasn’t been in TNA, like what, since 2016, 2015? And the fact that he’s still recognized to this day after every amazing thing that he’s done since leaving. The fact that he’s still synonymous with TNA, and still considered the face, and the original homegrown talent of TNA, just speaks volumes, bro.”
Mike Santana Says The Match Will Be A Showdown Between Two Homegrown TNA Talents
Santana believes the story for their match writes itself because both he and Styles are homegrown TNA talents.
“And again, the fact that I’m also like in this position as the face of the company and another homegrown talent of TNA. I think the story is there, the story writes itself. To be able to get in there with him and learn from him and just say that I went toe-to-toe with one of the absolute best in professional wrestling ever. If I could do it for the TNA World Title in a TNA ring, that’s it right there.”
