WWE seemingly has big plans for Stephanie Vaquer next year at WrestleMania 42.
After holding four separate championships in the last eleven months, it’s not hard to see that Stephanie Vaquer has had a meteoric rise in WWE throughout 2025. And it doesn’t seem like her push will end anytime soon, as the company reportedly has big plans for Vaquer next year at WrestleMania 42.
According to a new report from BodySlam+, sources have indicated that current Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley have been discussed as Stephanie Vaquer’s potential WrestleMania 42 opponent.
With either opponent, we could easily envision fans making a case that Vaquer’s match should main event night one of WrestleMania 42.

Stephanie Vaquer has made it known she wants to face Rhea Ripley
While Stephanie Vaquer likely won’t have a say in who she faces at WrestleMania 42 next year, she has openly expressed her desire to stand across the ring from Rhea Ripley.
Vaquer recently spoke with Mike Johnson of PWInsider and made it clear that she would really like to wrestle Ripley, calling her amazing in the ring and as a person.
“I think everyone in the WWE women’s division is amazing, but I really want to wrestle Rhea Ripley,” Stephanie Vaquer said. “She’s amazing, and I love her because she’s an amazing person too. She has a really nice style, and she has a lot of experience in WWE, so I’m sure I’d learn a lot from her if we had a match.”
