Booker T praised Ethan Page, saying he’s exactly what WWE NXT needed after several major names moved up to the main roster.
After leaving AEW in 2024, Ethan Page joined WWE NXT and quickly became one of the brand’s biggest stars. Since arriving, he has held both the NXT Championship and the NXT North American Championship. Earlier this year, he even shared TV time with The Rock, giving him even more momentum.
Last week, Page added another big win when he and Chelsea Green captured the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships. His tag team partner, Green on many occasions has said she hopes to help Page earn a main roster call-up so their partnership can continue.
With Page having one of the best runs of his career in WWE NXT, Booker T made it clear on his Hall of Fame Podcast that Page is exactly what the brand needed. He said, “Ethan Page should have been in that photo as well because he’s a guy that, and I said it was great pickup. I said Ethan Page was one of the best pickups NXT could have gotten, just because we had lost a lot of good talent, Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes, we lot a lot of talent when he came in.”
He admitted he didn’t realize how good Page really was until he saw him work in WWE NXT. “He fit that role perfectly, he literally filled that hole. Me personally, I did not know how good Ethan Page really was, but this guy, he’s the real deal. He can perform at a very, very high level, he’s very believable, his schtick is very well, his acting, is really, really good.
