  • Kenny Omega returns

AEW Dynamite & Collision Results:

Welcome to our three-hour session of All Elite Wrestling. We’re kicking things off immediately with a match, too, as two men will fight for the No. 1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at AEW Full Gear.

Bobby Lashley vs. Ricochet

  • The finish of the match saw Lashley absolutely dominate Ricochet. He won after missing a spear but rebounding and then hitting a spinebuster and another spear to earn his spot in the Casino Gauntlet.

Winner – Bobby Lashley

Grade: B+

A fine enough match! Lashley continues to dominate, and it’ll be fun to see him in the Casino Gauntlet.

Backstage, Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata are talking. Joe says that he was told if he interfered in Shibata’s match, he would lose his title shot at Full Gear. Joe then said Page has the company working for him, but that Shibata will still win, and he’ll collect the rest at Full Gear.

The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander team up

Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks vs. SkyFlight & Darius Martin

  • This one ends with The Bucks coming out on top, as per usual. The match ended after the Bucks collided with one another trying to hit a BTE Trigger on Dante Martin. After getting back up, the group hit a BTE Driver on Dante, and then Alexander locked up Dante’s ankle for the submission win

Winner – Josh Alexander & The Young Bucks

After the match, Don Callis got into the ring to join in the festivities, as did Mark Davis, Rocky Romero, and Hechicero. Callis then got on the mic, and said the crowd was waiting to hear if the Bucks would join the family. He said that bad things usually happen to people who don’t join them, and pointed to Kenny Omega as an example.

That’s when Omega’s music hit. The star came out and had a chair with them. He quickly got to work using it, and eventually cleared out the ring while the Bucks tried to stop him. After getting frustrated with the Bucks, Omega was then caught by Alexander, who locked in an ankle lock. Callis then told Alexander to let him go, and told the Bucks that if they wanted to join, all they had to do was hit Omega with a BTE Trigger.

After a minute, the Bucks went to grab Omega, but then Jurassic Express came running out. The group cleared out the ring, making the same while helping a limping Omega up the ramp.

Grade: A-

This was a one fun, albeit a pretty short one. The after-match shenanigans really sold it, though, as it was great getting to see everyone get involved in action.

Backstage, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron were talking with Renee Paquette. Cameron said that their plan is to become the first AEW Women’s tag Team Champions.

Another Casino Gauntlet Spot Match

Mike Bailey vs. Shelton Benjamin

  • In another match for the No. 2 spot in the Casino Gauntlet match at Full Gear, it was Benjamin who got the win. The match ended after MVP (who was at ringside on commentary) got involved for a moment after a weird non-pinfall. Benjamin then hit Bailey with a suplex, a high knee, and then a massive superkick to win.

Winner – Shelton Benjamin

Grade: B-

A fun enough match, but more fun for what it means for the Casino Gauntlet Match. With Lashley and Benjamin the first two in, it’ll be interesting to see if the pair work together, or immediately go at each other.

Jon Moxley in Action

Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong & Orange Cassidy

  • Moxley and Castagnoli pick up the win here. The group make relatively short work of their opponents, but not without some help. Late in the match, Wheeler Yuta got involved, forcing Cassidy to chase him around the ring. The ref stepped in to stop it, and that let Moxley lock in the Bulldog Choke on Cassidy for the win.

Winner – Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli

After the match, Kyle O’Reilly came down to the ring, and then locked Moxley in an ankle lock. Yuta and Garcia tried to pry him off, but he wouldn’t budge. Strong and Cassidy then cleared the ring, and eventually Yuta and Garcia got Moxley out of the ring.

O’Reilly then got on the mic, and said he wanted Moxley at Full Gear. O’Reilly said he wants to face him in a No Holds Barred Match, but Moxley and the Riders left before giving an answer.

Grade: B+

A No Holds Barred Match at Full Gear could be a lot of fun! As for the match tonight, it wasn’t too bad, but seemed more in line to set up this weekend.

Brody King and Bandido are talking backstage now. King said that FTR is one of the best tag teams in the company, but they haven’t proven that they can beat them just yet. We then see Mercedes Moné walking through the arena with her TBS and ROH Women’s TV Championships.

Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, and Luchasaurus are now being interviewed. Omega said that Josh Alexander has made things personal when he attacked Kota Ibushi and Michael Nakazawa. Omega then said that no amount of money would be able to save Alexander from what he has planned.

AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Match

Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa vs. Riho and Alex Windsor

  • Toni Storm and Mina walk out with a win. The match comes to a close after Storm and Shirakawa perform a double attack on Windsor. After Storm hit Windsor with a Storm Zero, that was enough to pick up the win and advance in the tournament.

Winner – Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa

After the match, it was revealed that the teams in the semifinals of the tournament will meet in a four corners tag team match at AEW Full Gear. The winners of the match will then choose the stipulations of their semifinals bout.

Grade: B+

Another really solid match. Storm and Shirakawa are a great duo, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the duo make it all the way through the tournament.

Hangman Page Goes Up Against Katusyori Shibata

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Katsuyori Shibata

  • This isn’t a title bout, but Page is still the winner. Shibata caused chaos early, pushing Page into the referee, but Page was able to flip the momentum from there on out. The match came to an end after Page clotheslind Shibata and then hit a Buckshot Lariat for the win.

Winner – “Hangman” Adam Page

Grade: B+

A solid end to tonight’s Dynamite, and a good look at Page ahead of his match at Full Gear. We’re on to Collision now!

It’s officially Collision time, and we start with Page getting on the mic after his match. Staring down Samoa Joe, who was at the commentary table, Page said that Joe is alone now. Page went on to say that when Joe steps into the cage at Full Gear, he wants him to be aware that he’ll be without any of his friends.

Page went on to say that if he has to do what he did the last time he was locked in a cage with another man again, he will.

Stokely Hathaway and FTR are backstage. All three are talking about the AEW Tag Team World Championships match at Full Gear. Dax Harwood says that they’ll do whatever it takes to become three-time champs, and that Brodid is standing in their way.

Another Match in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament

Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne vs. TayJay

  • TayJay stood no chance here. Bayne and Shafir dominated the match for most of it, and things ended with Shafir hitting Jay with a big hit to her back before locking in the Mother’s Milk hold for the submission win.

Winner – Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne

After the match, Toni Storm and Mina came up on the jumbotron. Storm mulled over some of the stipulations they could pick for their match, then said that Jon Moxley would “piss himself” once he sees what Storm and Shirakawa do to them.

Grade: B

A solid match, and sets up what should be a really awesome bout in the next round. It would be nice to see TayJay get some push in the future, though. They’re a great group!

Double Jeopardy Match Takes Place On AEW Collision

Kazuchika Okada vs. Mascara Dorada

  • There’s a lot on the line here, but Okada was able to secure the win, and pick up a big prize in the process for the Don Callis Family. The match ended with Okada hitting the Rainmaker for the win after some chaos happened at the top rope.

Winner – Kazuchika Okada

With the win, Okada has secured the Don Callis Family a shot at the CMLL Trios Championships. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait very long to see it, either. Callis took to the mic after to say the group would challenge El SKy Team at the Full Gear pre-show for the titles.

Grade: B+

It’s a big night for awesome matches that are more awesome for the things they set up. This match was a fun one to watch, but the DCF getting a title shot at the Full Gear pre-show is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Sky Blue and Julia Hart are being interviewed backstage about the four-way match at Full Gear. They were soon joined by Thekla, and the trio said that they were going to come up with a “twisted” stipulation for the four-way match.

Mercedes Moné and Red Velvet Clash In A Unification Match

Title Unification Match: Red Velvet (c) vs. Mercedes Moné (c)

  • Things got chaotic here quick, with the match going down to the floor almost immediately. In the end, though, the multi-time champ proved to be too much. Moné won the match after hitting a vicious looking move off the top rope.

Winner – Mercedes Moné

After the match, the new ROH Women’s TV Champion took to the broadcast table, taunting Kris Statlander, who was there to watch. Moné showed off both belts, and then chaos broke out. Moné threw both belts at Statlander, and the two began brawling. This ended with Moné locking in a Statement Maker that lasted for some time, before taunting both her and Red Velvet as they walked off.

Grade: A-

This was an awesome send-off to the show! Moné is just incredible, and she and Velvet went all out for a bit, even getting the crowd to lead a “this is awesome” chant. Moné continues to rack up titles, too, so it’s anyone’s guess as to when her many multiple reins will end.

AEW Dynamite & Collision Review:

All things considered, this was a pretty solid show. Mostly every match was basically just in service to AEW Full Gear, and with just a few days to go until the big show, that kind of makes sense. AEW has struggled in the past to really hype up a big pay-per-view, so it was good to see them really lean into it here.

Grade: A
