TNA Wrestling X-Division Champion Leon Slater will compete this weekend at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Although other companies were hurt in the process.
Last night on WWE RAW, it was announced that TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater will team with NXT’s Je’Von Evans to take on World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
This announcement ended up altering multiple companies’ plans this weekend. Slater was scheduled to compete this weekend in the United Kingdom for wXw and RevPro.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), the TNA performer was pulled from these events over the weekend, citing scheduling issues. However, neither company was informed that he was working for WWE this weekend until it was mentioned on RAW.
Sources with wXw inform Sapp that this date was worked out with Slater back in March. And while those sources expected Slater’s scheduling issues had something to do with WWE, they prefer that WWE would have been the ones to give them the heads up about this.
Meanwhile, sources in TNA are speaking positively about Slater’s upcoming WWE appearance and believe it’s another great example of the partnership between the two companies continuing.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to take place on December 13, 2025, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
