CM Punk explains why he admires Logan Paul.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has been absent from WWE television since Survivor Series: WarGames. Amid his hiatus, he spoke to Chef Donny on the recent episode of What’s For Lunch?.
During the conversation, CM Punk shared his thoughts on internet personalities like Logan Paul entering the world of wrestling. Punk noted that he understands the criticism Paul has been facing, admitting that he too, would’ve joined in if he were the person he was ten years ago.
“I mean, I think it’s a benefit. I understand the criticisms, and I would probably be levying them heavy against him if I was CM Punk from like 10 years ago. But to see him take it seriously and want to do more, but the way the business is now, it’s almost just like, pump the brakes. You don’t need to do more.”
Speaking further, CM Punk noted that he admires Logan Paul for his ability to generate legitimate heat from the fans.
“It’s fascinating because everybody hates this dude, and I think that’s one of the more admirable things about it. It’s how much everybody hates him. Because in our business, that means money,” Punk said.
Bron Breakker earned himself a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity after pinning CM Punk inside WarGames last month. The two will collide for the title on the first anniversary episode of WWE RAW on Netflix on January 5, 2026.
