“Speedball” Mike Bailey may not be close to retiring yet, but he already knows how he’ll make his exit from the wrestling world.
Speaking to RJ City in his latest vlog (via Fightful), Mike Bailey joked that he would make sure to have an extravagant farewell tour and then play a prank on everyone when it’s over.
“Have I ever told you about my plans for retirement in pro wrestling? Announce a big tour, make t-shirts,” Bailey said. “Build up to one final match, and then I’m just going to go on this whole tour for six months, have the big final ceremony match, everyone in the ring crying, hugging, make a documentary, and I’ll just take a booking the next week and just keep wrestling after that.”
Bailey’s joke comes as John Cena wraps up his year-long retirement tour with his loss to Gunther this weekend. As for Bailey, while he may have his own retirement figured out, he seems a ways away from it. The AEW star is currently competing in AEW’s Continental Classic and looking to continue making a name for himself.
