WWE Legend Praises Mick Foley’s Decision To Depart The Company

A WWE Legend is praising Mick Foley‘s decision to depart the company next year when his contract expires.

In the last 24 hours, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has made a stand against the company and their blatant alignment with current President Donald Trump stemming from his recent comments on the murder of Rob and Michele Reiner.

This morning, Foley took to his social media platforms to announce that he is parting ways with WWE over their association with Donald Trump, stating:

PARTING WAYS WITH WWE While I have been concerned about WWE‘s close relationship with Donald Trump for several months — especially in light of his administration’s ongoing cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and pretty much anyone who “looks like an immigrant”) — reading the President’s incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me.

“I no longer wish to represent a company that coddles a man so seemingly void of compassion as he marches our country towards autocracy. Last night, I informed @WWE talent relations that I would not be making any appearances for the company as long as this man remains in office. Additionally, I will not be signing a new Legends deal when my current one expires in June. I love WWE, will always treasure my time with them, and I am deeply appreciative for all the opportunities they afforded me. But, in the words of Popeye the sailor, “I stands all I can stands, and I can’t stands no more.”

WWE Legend Jim Cornette praises Mick Foley’s decision

Following Mick Foley’s announcement this morning, WWE Legend Jim Cornette took to social media to praise Foley’s decision, calling him his favorite person in the world, tweeting out:

“I don’t think Mick Foley’s on Twitter or I’d tag him but I want to state publicly that while I’ve always liked him, he has just become my favorite person in the world. I wish all the boys had his backbone and, more importantly, his morals,” Jim Cornette said in a tweet.

Even AEW’s Ricochet chimed in, reluctantly agreeing with Cornette, and calling him a loser, tweeting back:

“I honestly NEVER thought I’d agree with this loser,” Ricochet said in a post.
