A WWE RAW guest learned about the concept of death from The Undertaker.
Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who has made several guest appearances in WWE, including as a commentator on an episode of RAW back in April, was a recent guest on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast. During the conversation, he shared that he learned about the concept of death as a kid when he saw The Undertaker building a coffin during the build-up to his match against Kamala at Survivor Series 1992.
“I learned about death from The Undertaker. I had no idea what a coffin was or what a cemetery was, and then there I am, at six or seven years, and he’s building a coffin because he’s facing Kamala. So, I didn’t even know what a coffin was. There I am, a little kid, and I’m like, ‘Wait, what is he doing? He’s building this thing, and we get put in that when we die? And then you get put in dirt? Six feet in the ground?’ And I’m trying to put this all together
“Anyway, I became obsessed. We have this old piano that must’ve been in my house forever. But long story short, you know how the piano benches lift up? They have a thing with books in them. So, I took nails, and I sealed it shut because I was doing my own impression of The Undertaker, and my mom went ballistic.
The Undertaker Reveals What Really Pisses Him Off About Wrestlers Asking For Advice
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared that it really pisses him off when wrestlers seek his advice but fail to apply it to their in-ring performances.
“What really pisses me off is when I go, and people will come and say, ‘Hey, you know, you got anything for me?’” The Undertaker began, “Like, I’ve obviously watched (their matches), and you’re asking me for feedback, and then I give you my feedback, and I give you my time, and then not apply [his advice].
“There’s a few people, because they’ll come up and it’s almost like, ‘Just I want to be seen asking.’ It’s just lip service. They don’t apply it. Why ask me if you’re not gonna apply it?
“It may not be the right advice for you. Like, I may give you this, and Stone Cold may give you this, and they may be complete opposite. What your job is, is to figure out,” The Undertaker said.
