WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has revealed two major names he hopes to work with on the big screen one day.
Punk shared his thoughts during an appearance on My Mom’s Basement, where he was discussing the success of Zootopia 2. In the film, Punk voices one of the zebra buddy cops, Zebro Zebrowski, alongside WWE star Roman Reigns, who voices Zebro Zebraxton.
During the conversation, Punk was asked whether he could see himself appearing in more movies alongside fellow wrestlers, especially with Cena recently retiring from WWE. He said, “I’ve had a couple meetings and that topic has come up. I can only imagine what John’s slate looks like, it’s probably super, super busy. I’d imagine some time in the future we’ll be working together.”
He also admitted that his dream collaborators are not just great actors, but close friends. “I’ve got like bucket list names I wanna work with, and selfishly a lot of them are my friends; Dave (Bautista) and John are probably like the top two.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
With CM Punk’s acting career continuing to grow and both Cena and Bautista firmly established in Hollywood, the idea of the three sharing the screen someday doesn’t feel far-fetched at all. Meanwhile, Punk will appear in the upcoming film Night Patrol, set to release in theaters on Friday, January 16.
