An AEW is open to the possibility of his wife joining him in the promotion.
Former TNA World Champion and current AEW star Josh Alexander is married to former TNA ring announcer Jade Chung. Ever since he signed with Tony Khan’s promotion last year, fans have been speculating about his wife potentially becoming All Elite.
Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Josh Alexander explained how Jade Chung transitioned from being a wrestling manager to a ring announcer.
“My wife (transitioned) her whole career from a wrestling manager into being a ring announcer just because she was asked to try it. She was worried about it but she’s like ‘Oh, I’ll give it a try, I’ve never done it, we’ll see.’ She went to voice lessons for a year, and she’s still going to this day, even though she’s not doing it anymore,” the AEW star said.
Speaking further, Josh Alexander noted that his wife worked hard to establish herself as a ring announcer and that it would be a waste of talent if she didn’t get the chance to do what she loves at a bigger company like AEW.
“But she did all this hard work and I think the hard work showed what she was able to do as a ring announcer, like she was getting praise from a lot of people that have been in the industry for a very long time. I think it’d be a terrible waste of her talents to not see her do what she now loves to do and is confident in doing, at a bigger company. AEW would be a very good place for that.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
