WWE Hall of Famer Criticizes TNA on AMC Debut For Feeling Like An Infomercial

A WWE Hall of Famer says the TNA iMPACT AMC debut felt like an infomercial.

TNA Wrestling is facing some criticism over the production quality of iMPACT’s AMC debut last Thursday. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE legend Booker T also shared his thoughts, mirroring the sentiments of the fans.

“I got the same sentiment as a lot of other people,” Booker T said. “As far as it could have been shot a little bit differently, as far as I don’t know if some of the shots were, you know, done earlier in the day, when, you know, this is a big night. It was a lot of commercials, three matches, you know. So it definitely, I don’t know, it seemed like, kind of like an infomercial, a little bit, you know, for, you know, the new spot on AMC, which I understand that as well.”

Addressing the legitimate visa issues that kept TNA stars Leon Slater and Dani Luna out of the show, Booker T said, “Couple of guys had visa issues, like Leon Slater, nothing you could do about that. Those issues can happen, and you think you can fix them, and you know you just can’t, and time runs out.”

Booker T believes TNA should improve with the direction of the show

“But directing is something that I think a wrestling show needs, and that director has to be the guy that’s accountable for a lot of stuff that goes on on that show, literally, because that that part of the show, right there, only one person is going to be in charge of that job, you know, trying to put all that together, put all that together together, and then quarterback in that thing. Yeah, it’s not, it’s not an easy job. So I think I don’t know, excuse me, I don’t know who’s the quarterback for that show, but that might have been, you know, the missing piece,” Booker T said.” [H/T WrestlingNews.co]
