Trey Miguel Reacts To Potentially Getting Fired By AEW And TNA

Trey Miguel had a very short run in AEW. He recently commented on the possibility that he could end up with another pink slip.

AEW announced it had signed all four members of the former TNA faction, The Rascalz. However, Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision featured a backstage segment with Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed. Trey Miguel was absent from the show and later announced that he was taking a break from wrestling.

A short time later, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Miguel had been released. However, the reason for his abrupt departure was unknown. Subsequent reports suggested that Miguel’s release came from Warner Bros. Discovery, and Miguel hinted at past comments that could have played a factor.

Trey Miguel is back in TNA

Miguel’s break from pro wrestling didn’t last long, however, as he returned to TNA on Thursday night. Miguel was a surprise entrant in the Feast or Fired match, which could result in a future title shot or a termination notice.

Many fans pointed out the irony of Miguel competing in a match where he could get fired for the second time in a month. TNA star Matt Hardy also pointed this out, writing that TNA has the “opportunity to do maybe the funniest thing ever.”

Trey Miguel commented on the storyline situation he finds himself in, offering a humorous response on social media.

“If this is the fired briefcase I’ll be so pissed @ThisIsTNA,” Miguel wrote on Twitter/X.

It’s highly doubtful that TNA would fire Miguel, even for a storyline swerve, but you can never say never in pro wrestling.
